Aside from the crazy Aurum prices, I really love the CQ and the hangar. I got chills when I walked out of my room and saw my ship out there.
I've been waiting so long for this and I think it is very well done and I realize it's only the beginning. Bring it on!!
A couple of questions if you guys have time:
- Will there ever be a quicker walking pace/run?
- It seems that the shadows in the station looks worse on my character than in the creator, any ideas? (I have everything cranked)
- Regarding the interactivity of the CQ, any plans to expand on what's already there? Maybe activate all the glowing stuff in my room? :)
I have found that everything was very well laid out with this expansion, I'm no super old vet but just something as simple as having the 'Open Drone Bay' button right there was really nice considering I felt like I had to jump through hoops to get to that bay before the expac.
Again, thank you and looking forward to updates, especially the ships!

I got in as soon as the servers came back up around 7:30 Eastern, and played until my wife dragged me off to bed.
Aurum/NEX seems a little silly at this point, but time will tell.
Love the CQ view of the hangar. Gives a great sense of scale. Gives a new perspective to everything. Makes me realize just how big those ships are that I'm flying around.
For the most part, though, I'm not really using the CQ UI. I'm using the same station navigation buttons I've always used. They're faster.
I don't think I want those old station navigation buttons going away, either. I'd hate to have more clicks before I can get something done... But it'd be nice if additional content was added to the CQ (or other out-of-ship stuff) so that it didn't feel quite so useless. I assume some of this is already planned.
Movement speed is a bit on the slow side. It'd be nice if my character moved faster. Or if I had a 'run' button, or something.
All things considered, I'm very happy with the expansion and can't wait to see what else is on the way.

My kids love it as well. Personally, as long as EVE doesn't go all cartoon graphics and twitch FPS shooter, I'll be subscribing for a good while yet.

NEX prices aren't high enough.
You had to grind way harder to get vanity gear in GW. They had way more subscribers than EvE and would have made a killing if they had sold that **** instead of gold farmers.
1.2 bil takes you how long to grind? A week of misisons? A month of PI 3 minutes a day? a good weekend of trading?

I do think CQ is a game changer for a lot of people who needed to see their avatar (in the flesh so to speak). Excited here!

Yeah it's pretty cool but the thing I liked as well was the new gun/mining laser models and animations too.

I'm also very happy with the CQ content. Very nice addition and I definitely look forward to how it develops further.
My only hope is that they consider adding in the hangar view as an option for the hardware-challenged.

All in all Im happy with it, looks cool, runs good and has opened up a huge door for new stuff ingame. I think my station load times might be 5 to 10 seconds longer then pre incarna so no big deal.
I would still like to have:
1. Ship hangar view as an option so I can move a camera around my ship at will and look at it.
2. A JOG dial below the ship hologram so I can turn it at will from the balcony would rock!
Cant wait for more stuff

I had my doubts loading up eve after the patch, though they were quickly dispelled.
The delay loading CQ compared to old hangar isn't really noticeable. Once you're on the gangway you're able to do everything you need through the neocom. It's a little slower but I'm still running 2 clients on a 9600gt with no temp problems. I was going to upgrade soon anyway, probably a 560ti and 27". Not much to do at the moment but I'm sure that will change with WIS.
The new turrets and sound is awesome, I love the way the turret fire is slightly staggered even when grouped. I hope you eventually do the same for missiles, kind of like a rapid firing MLRS. The new icons for the turrets could use some polish though.
Some bugs that'd been bothering me were fixed, some introduced, hopefully they'll be ironed out now that you've got the proper frameworks in place.
Noble Exchange was a bit of a surprise at first. I'd saved a couple of plex thinking I was going to buy lots of clothes and try and make a profit on the market. In hindsight everyone would've been planning the same thing and maybe this is where alot of the rage is coming from. The prices are ok, it'll at least keep them exclusive, dont listen to the rabble asking for price reduction. Be a bit hard to reduce prices now anyway after people have bought them, you'd just be replacing one rabble with another. Just introduce some mid priced items over time and it'll be sweet.
Smooth rollout, normal nightly downtime.

Yes, yes you are, and so is anyone else that thinks the CQ's are awsome. It is truly beyond me what you people seeing, cause all i see is a half assed room for one race with no additional functionality. This whole expansion is a money grubbing fail.

I like Incarna too, but what's this about the drone bay access being hard? All you had to do was right click your ship in the hanger and select "open drone bay"...that's one click.

I am very excited to see incarna finally launched. Yes it is very limited now, but we KNEW that! They told us long ago that instead of waiting longer and longer, they would pick out a section and get that ready for launch.
I'm a former Earth and Beyond player, the one good space MMO that EA axed...bastards. And one of the things i really loved, that really got the community closer, that gave it more "life", was walking in stations!
So to that, EVE will definitely benefit from this.
I will add that not having the option when docking to start from the previous dock view we had before is not a good idea. CCP should not FORCE you to use it.

Also, I am starting to appreciate the fact that CCP inflated the prices so much because there are a lot of pilots out there that need an ISK sink, as in they have more ISK than they know what to do with.
It makes sense and if people would think before they rage it would be a lot nicer of a place around these forums.
Few things I noticed while reading through these replies:
- dudes, I'm married (so yes I played with myself all night, got the chills during orgasm)
- kidding, but not about the married part ;)
- My GPU did fine, but I didn't lolly gag all night in the CQ, I played the game!
- New turret/blaster fights with sound cranked moistened my pants

I too enjoy this patch. I don't understand all of the performance issues, really. I get 60FPS in my CQ with all settings at max, Medium AA, interior effects High. 1920x1080. my temps topped out at 65C after sitting watching the 'tv' for about 15min. That's on a GTX275, which, while it is a good card, sure as hell isn't spectacular. On a slightly newer, MUCH cheaper GFX card, you can get similar performance with much less power draw, and therefore much less heat. I'd imagine that as long as you drop the 'interior' effects to low or medium, that most graphics cards could run CQ without too much problem.
However, I do find the NeX prices insane.
