Those with big problems., can u try this please? I get a 5 to 10 fps boost. it seems. Dont forget the windows desktop now uses DX to render. So teh GPU is competing.

Because with 7, you're not supposed to need those sorts of tweaks. If you're on a modern OS and this actually helped, it means you need to kill some other program that's running. I've done priority changing on XP to great effect tho.

No, all programs in Win7 scheduler get equal priority quanta, except the Focused app that gets a quanta boost (if you are set to a client mode - server mode backgrouind NT services get equal priority over the focused apps). If you want more indepth win7 scheduler, I can link you it yes it has changed since XP greatly , but for the better mostly. If you want more indepth scheduling with DX game loops, that I can link too, but DX games run Cooperative multiasking so the devs have complete control over scheduling inside the main game loop.

This does boost the responsiveness of CQ by 5 to 10 fps, your milage may vary, go test it if you have input lag and render lag, it does help.

This is a workaround that may help customers, it may not, not a thread for waving your bits n pieces about.

I play eve on windows 7 x64 at 5280x1050 with a good level of AA enabled with all settings maxed etc etc etc and each instance of the game takes about 1.7GB of ram. Shouldn't need it tbh.
