Whilst enjoying to play eve, I find it now frustrating that when docked, and 'not' having the Captains Closet displayed all I am presented with is a blank view of a door. If whilst I am stood around outside I change ship, I have no idea which I have changed to, unless I go to fitting, or even undock. Give us back the view of the ship in the hanger, although it's been with us for years, and I know change is good, the view of a door is not the most sought after view. It also makes like difficult if you want to access parts of the ship such as corp hanger, mintenance bay, drone bay etc.

Confirming that Crysis 2 gets better FPS compared to the EVE CQ environment at maxed-out graphics settings for both.
Welcome to some time ago - what to do so CQ isn't universally hated. CQ is sort of nice, I guess. But lack of options, mandatory nature = INSTAHATE You guys never listen early enough nor make noise strong enough when it matters. Guess what, even the "(do not) load station environment" is supposed to be TEMPORARY only.

Quick recap, in case CCP insists on keeping CQ the default environment : * MANDATORY - separate the CQ from the non-CQ graphics detail settings into two completely separate groups which you can set differently * MANDATORY - keep the ESC menu option to not load any environment at all * STRONGLY PREFERRED - add some even lower graphics detail levels for CQ * OPTIONAL BUT HIGHLY DESIRABLE - do not delete the current hangar environments AND make them an alternative (default disabled) via the ESC menu _

I still say a disembark capsule option on the neocom, like in the older incarna videos is still the best option to make the CQ optional and it does not hide it anything the ESC menu.
It should be DOCK > HANGER VIEW > CLICK BUTTON ON NEOCOM (if you so desire to) > Captains Quarters/Incarna

Agree. While I admit that my initial frustration was that I was too bleary-eyed this morning to see the "load station environment" checkbox for a while, that was nothing compared to my frustration upon re-docking after unchecking said box. Thanks Blizzard...wait, CCP (sorry, ingrained complaint habit) for basically telling us, "You will use CQ or you will go stand in the corner. No, you cannot look at your ship."
Not to mention the lack of gameplay improvement, yadda, yadda...
In the spirit that your nation has taken towards its constitution, please listen.
Fix this.

Just to clarify I love Incarna, I think it's an awesome step in the right direction and am really proud that Eve has finally broken the proverbial hymen in bridging us between space combat an an actual role-playing game. However of all the whines and complaints thus far I think this one easily has the most merit. Transitioning between being in space, being docked in a station's ship hanger and leaving your ship would pretty much be advantageous to literally everyone from every perspective. Immersion-wise, it would make all of those "please leave your ship and enter your pod" messages make more sense; it makes more sense that a captain does not need to disembark and enter his apartment in order to have items loaded/unloaded into his cargo bay (he and the station has crew and/or robots to do this); maintains the tradition of having that hanger view; leave you in a heightened state of preparedness compared to being disembarked in your CQ; etc.
So yeah, +1 to this. Game flow should be In Space>Dock Ship>Disembark to CQ>Board Ship>Undock

But ultimately, my big RP question is this...why would I ever want to leave my pod anyway? The meat is just a necessary interface between my consciousness and my true body - the vessel that carries me through the void. Walking through a station, disconnected from the devices that keep me effectively immortal...all it takes is a ticked off janitor with a shiv, and then you are bleeding out in some hallway, unable to go to a clone...

Signed. I wouldn't hate it half as much if it was optional. The "use our toy or stare at a wall" is just offensive.

We want back the hangar view. I realy don't care about the barbie online I just want to play a space ship game.
CQ it's single player anyways, WHY force it on the users who doesn't want barbie online?
When multiplayer of the Incarna is done people will have to go CQ -> Multiplayer zone anyways, and your minitransaction will florish only then. Even if I would like to play barbie online who the hack would pay that insane amount of money w/o beeing able to show it of to others.

Confirming that even a crappy console port like Crysis 2 gets better FPS compared to the EVE CQ environment at maxed-out graphics settings for both, and it actually looks BETTER while doing that.

HELL, IDEALLY, CQ WOULD BE A STATION SERVICE BUTTON IN THE OLD HANGAR, and therefore fully optional, but in case CCP insists on keeping CQ the default environment to promote their MT-shop venture : * MANDATORY - separate the CQ from the non-CQ graphics detail settings into two completely separate groups which you can set differently * MANDATORY - keep the ESC menu option to not load any environment at all * STRONGLY PREFERRED - add some even lower graphics detail levels for CQ * OPTIONAL BUT HIGHLY DESIRABLE - do not delete the current hangar environments AND make them an alternative (default disabled) via the ESC menu
++++1 and if this is true " Guess what, even the "(do not) load station environment" is supposed to be TEMPORARY only. " I'm down the road, I've F**king had it with this BS from ccp

TOTAL CRAP!
CARTOONISH GRAPHICS...Poor Performance issues with CQ on and off now. Have a maxed out rig with quad-core hyperthreading, 12gb of RAM and Dual 240 SLI enabled graphics cards and while the FPS is fine, the overall look of EVE is now TOTALLY ****!
Wont be renewing my subscription at this point.
Instead of doing good, CCP has screwed over the players YET again. I am not going to continue to pay for this with RLM or my TIME.

I don't think they care. They've invested so much time and money in this that they simply cannot back down or compromise on any of it, come hell or high water. We will all help out testing their world of darkness tech and that's all there is to it.

I resubbed yesterday and haven't even had a chance to do anything other than update the client thanks to the extended downtime.
But even without seeing the CQ I can tell that docking and then disembarking the pod is a logically seperated step and you should still see the hanger. They just want to show off the work so everyone can see because someone's been working on this for five years.
Give the hanger back and put the captains quarters on a obvious button on the NeoCom, somewhere the noobies can't miss it.

It's matter of preference realy, and CCP is denying it's users the custumization.
They are takeing the wrong road IMO. I personaly have absolute no interest in CQ.
