we would at least see a LOT of different ships flying around in stations and docking randomly. Its so stupid that we can now look from the balcony but all we see is a un-immersive emptyness of a huge station. This could be made so well and people (at least me) would like to sit at the balcony watch ships fly around, but this is just odd and boring. After a week people will not see a difference than what we had before...
Here, even CCP know whats cool: Minmatar Hangar View but why is it in game so different and boring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Confirming that even a crappy console port like Crysis 2 gets better FPS compared to the EVE CQ environment at maxed-out graphics settings for both, and it actually looks BETTER while doing that.
Welcome to some time ago - what to do so CQ isn't universally hated. CQ is sort of nice, I guess. But lack of options, mandatory nature = INSTAHATE You guys never listen early enough nor make noise strong enough when it matters. Guess what, even the "(do not) load station environment" is supposed to be TEMPORARY only.

HELL, IDEALLY, CQ WOULD BE A STATION SERVICE BUTTON IN THE OLD HANGAR, and therefore fully optional, but in case CCP insists on keeping CQ the default environment to promote their MT-shop venture : * MANDATORY - separate the CQ from the non-CQ graphics detail settings into two completely separate groups which you can set differently * MANDATORY - keep the ESC menu option to not load any environment at all * STRONGLY PREFERRED - add some even lower graphics detail levels for CQ * OPTIONAL BUT HIGHLY DESIRABLE - do not delete the current hangar environments AND make them an alternative (default disabled) via the ESC menu

But see, that's it. This was just the first roll out of Incarna. It is going to be done in phases to make sure they don't inject too many bugs at once. I have seen games crash due to so many problems. They are actually going about it intelligently.
So you never know, we may just see ships flying around and docking (I don't know....just saying it could be apossibility for them to add that kind of "polish" to the game). As I satated in another thread, before passing final judgement, let them release ALL of Incarna.
Complaints about things should be done constructively if you really are unhappy with something. Help them sort out problems and bugs. Nerd raging like what I have seen on this board today is not going to do anything but ruin the game for many players and chase away new players who are wanting to see what this game has to offer (like myself).

Akita, do you just post that in every thread you see, regardless of relevance?

I completely agree with you here that releasing walking in station in steps is a good idea, but seriously, adding just ONE quarter with an empty station environment is kinda weak. I mean its nearly no improvement to before. CQ was on the test server for several months and still there is just this little one quarter... if the speed CCP is developing CQ stays, we will see all 4 quarters in about a year and maybe one year later, we will have a living environment in the stations. Then some time later, we will be able to meet each other in bars. They should stop calling these patches "addons" because they are not. Its not even a mayor patch and maybe this is the source for all the rage... people expect some kind of addon from CCP because they announce it with publicity and so on. Its if Microsoft announces Windows 8 and at release date, they sell you a Windows 7 with a new desktop background and maybe a new search engine.

They have to get the mechanincs in place for it to happen. If the mechanics don't work for one room, what would happen if they had rolled it out completly and crashed the servers for days trying to fix it? Then people would be *****ing about not being able to play at all.
Just be calm, settle down and see where this goes....make concerns known; report bugs; report these problems so they can possibly fix them before they release the next phase. But nerd raging and complaining isn't going to accomplish anything but possibly ruin what could be the thing that could make CCP a competitor of Blizz and EA Games....imagine what they would be able to do if they started attracting more players and had MORE resources to put into this game?

This is like the 5th time Ive seen you copy and paste this in the forums, are you really just going to every topic and posting this same argument that has nothing to do with the topic? Wow, you're pretty pathetic!

I don't care about anything else at this point.
Just give me my disembark capsule button in the neocom.
I want it to be like this: DOCK > HANGER VIEW > CLICK BUTTON ON NEOCOM (if you so desire to) > Captains Quarters/Incarna
Its so simple its pathetic, and it seems this was CCP's original plan in old fanfest videos of Incarna.
Oh and separate graphic settings as Akita has said.

Many of these issues were reported by the volunteer testers doing CCP's work for them.
CCP could have spared players being stuck with these problems by fixing them or leaving the old hangar and sticking a disembark button there to enter CQ.
Speaking out about the problems and issues players who have invested time and money is helping new players see what some of CCP's customers for years think about what they are doing. New players are free to ignore all of them and play the game finding value and fun there if they dare. If they or you want a sanitized experience then stop reading the forums, stop talking to other people because somewhere somehow someone will have a different POV than you.
