Okay, so I play with two screens. I waited years (and several 40+ page threads) for CCP to implement compatibility with multiple monitors, which they did by introducing borderless windowed mode and the camera offset option.
However, now we come to the glory that is Incarna, and my options for in-station are: 1. Camera centred at any zoom, avatar is split in half. 2. Camera centred when zoomed out, but to one side of the avatar when zoomed in. Unfortunately, the avatar still uses the centre of the screen as a focal point, so when I move 'forward' by pressing W, I actually appear to be moving diagonally.
Would it not be simple to apply the same camera offset I already use to have my interface and ship centred on one screen to the avatars in stations? As it stands, I must either have my avatar split in two or have the whole thing feel very clumsy as she wanders in a different direction than the one I would logically be indicating.

It is a really disappointing implementation of multiple screen support, considering CCP already has one for the rest of the game that WORKS.
Just as the OP points out: please use the same principle behind the normal camera offset opion with the incarna camera offset. |

Haha. I just entered forums to post about that. I'm using 2x screens.

I also think camera offset is to small. I think you should be able to move your character left-right as you do with ships from side to side. Now you can do it like 30% left-right. We can't put our characters on the center of left or right screen.
And walking is horrible. It's really hard to go where you want to go.
Next thing is what you see. You can move your character to the side a little, but what on front of you is still not moved. Effect: personal screen is divided into screen. Real crap.
And this is my older topic about character creation and customization using 2 screens: http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1526854 (u can sign that topic too) You can check how it looks when you use 2 screens. ____________________________________________ Character creation using 2 screens |

Done, and signed. That camera offset wasn't on later implemented features in the first place is just silly.

I think there is too less players using more screens. Actually I'm sure they will not fix that fast :/ ____________________________________________ Character creation using 2 screens |

I believe it's become more and more common - though many people are lucky enough to afford three screens nowadays (now that triple-output is being supported by the better cards), which does eliminate the problem.
I have no doubt that this won't be high on CCP's priority list, but firmly believe it's something that they should be aware of and aim to fix in time.

If they will find time....
Probably there would be no problem if using 3 screens, because you would have everything on the center one, but i don't have place on my desk for 3rd screen. Also I would have to buy next or another GPU to handle 3 screens.
Besides UI panel would be faaaaar from the left or faaaaar from the right (like when using 2 screens try to play on the left screen and have active targets on the righ.... horible! good that we can change place where active targets should show). It's hard to use it in such case. When having 3 screens players should be able to put it somewhere on the center screen (bottom?).
There is a lot more stuff to fix for players who can afford more screens.

Noticed the same problem when I finally got around on setting the space agent to two screens (Roomy!).
Was trying to figure out what I was doing wrong in CQ, but I guess as many things in CQ this was another thing they didn't finish/implement.
