I'll be selling or biomassing this character soon so I may as well apply now I deserve the prize for my constant dedication to the principles of anarchy and the situationist international.
I organised a pseduo-revolutionary event that educated people in a way that they might never otherwise have understood.
If I win the 10 billion, it will be spent developing my art on a new character, in highly original ways. In any event, you amateurs haven't heard the last of me yet

Thanks for the submissions! All are valid and some are particularly interesting to me, although I won't be the final judge (still trying to assemble a good panel).

I hope you are taking note. The Jita fly-in protest I suggested has been very effective. You can make payment with ISK, Aurum or Plex! ^_^

Actually I suggested it first in this very thread, the Jita fly-in, my ideal. Thank you very much. That is two people now that have tried to claim they thought of it first.

On that note: not sure if my app was eligible in the first place (the great protests in jita and amarr kinda put what little effort I put into it to shame) but in any case I'm withdrawing. I won't need any isk anymore. I'm free now. The isk should go to someone who has still faith in this game and more specifically it's developers. Would be a shame for it to rot on an expired account.
Hats off to RAW for making this contest and showing once again what makes this game great: the community. -- Zinfandelgate - A fictionalized account of the events that led to June, 21st |

Edited by: Khira Kitamatsu on 09/07/2011 15:03:59 I still think the Jita Fly-In protest was the most awesome protest seen in game. We had the Jita system packed for days, once we initiated it. As for documenting proof of my actions, I was the first to post and suggest such an action(the Jita protest) in this very thread. I also posted my own thread regaarding this protest that very day setting the date and time of the protest. We had in game people going to different channels telling people about the Jita fly-in and in the end it was brilliantly executed. I do not think anyone can deny the impact it had on the game and Jita. ^_^
Viva la revolution!

What does it help? Shooting at a station = suicide ganking = ships get destroyed = ISK sink.
Killing/wardec anyone that got a monocle = some get scared and dont buy a monocle and some buy a monocle just to get action.
The first would be something CCP would like and the second wouldent really do anything.
If we want to have a chance that CCP will listen to us, we have to find out where it would hurt the most for CCP!
What do CCP want? CCP want money. (Not that hard to understand.)
How do they get money? Thru PLEX and subscription fee.
The only way to get people to stop buying plex for real money is to lower the ISK price enough. This is very hard if not impossible.
So the only thing we can affect that CCP really care about is the subscription fee. The way we can affect that is:
1. Ragequit and and stop playing. 2. Keep new players away from the game.
1 is really not an option as most people are addicted. So we are down to keeping new players away from the game. This is some of the things I came up with:
1. Show how cold, mean and rude EVE can be. Ignore, scam, kill and do other mean things to new players. 2. Scare new players by telling them EVE is going to die and it is a waste of money. 3. Go outside of the EVE community and give CCP/EVE a bad image.
Of these 3 I would say option 3 would be the easiest. 1 is frowned upon by CCP and could get you banned. And 2 would just be ineffective.
SO TO MY IDEA! Go outside the eve community. Yes, out of the C&P and General disccusion. Get game magazines to write how bad EVE is and tell anyone that ask it aint worth the money! If everything people hear about EVE(/CCP) is bad, they wont even bother try it. CCP would lose potential players (and thus potential income). We must also make it clear to CCP that we wont stop before they remove MT.
As CCP already have a hard time they would either: Die as a company. or Have to stop MT.
You can actually call it blackmail.
TO ANY POTENTIAL CONTESTANTS: Try to come up with something that CCP cares about. They wont change anything if all we do is shoot at stations!
PS. I could really need that money
EDIT: typo.
PSS. My suggestion might not be as "cool" or "fun" as shooting at stations. But if someone bother to do it, it sure is effective!

When I google "is eve online a good game" I only see positive stuff! So you have not done it good enough...
Secondly, this is all lost now... Everyone think CCP made a compromis by not having P2W.
This is how it went: CCP tells us about AUR. We rage as we dont want ANY MT whatsoever. CCP "leaks" P2W. We rage even more since we dont want P2W. CCP promis no P2W (lol? Why should we trust em when they lied before). We are happy and think CCP made a compromis with us, totally forgeting our earlier rage about vanity items. CCP WINS!
We should make all the top google search about EVE online negative! When we do that, we win. My solution to micro-transactions/noble exchange and CCPs money problem! |
