The reason I play a subscription game, as opposed to a one-time payment (Guild Wars as an example), a micro-transaction model, or a "free-to-play" model, is to have ALL the content available to me because I pay fifteen dollars a month, regardless of whether it is a vanity item or not.
Paying a subscription only to be told the entire game is not available to me (again, regardless of usefulness) is a slap in the face.
This is not a ragequit thread, I will continue playing at least until my one-year sub runs out, but I will not participate in this "micro"transaction mockery. And no you cannot have my stoophs.

I totally agree. Nickeling and diming us for content on top of our subscription is total BS to begin with, and CCP is now trying to charge more for pixels than we pay for IRL clothes.

Even for fluff items or "vanity" items these are things that should be included in the sub fee or not added at all. Its funny how much CCP bashes WoW yet they are trying to be just like them.

The CSM is with us in this. CCP on the other hand seems to have stopped caring about the players. |

I feel if CCP wants to do microtransactions then the monthly subscription needs to go. Paying for both is just ridiculous. If they need money, why don't they just tell us so and raise the subscription cost? I'd pay $5 more a month to keep **** like this out of the game.

I don't particularly enjoy agreeing with others, as it makes me feel like I'm wrong, but I agree with OP.

Nickling and diming?
$60 for a monocle and $30 for a skirt isn't nickle and diming. They are charging for more VIRTUAL goods than they cost in the real world!

I would argue that, tbh, CSM said "yes" on the "Scorp for Aurum" because the tradeIn mechanic wasn't in place yet. That would have meant stepping over the line already after promising otherwise. I'm not totally sure we can count on the CSM on this, sry.

Devil's Advocate for a moment ...
play game --> ISK --> PLEX --> Aurum --> stuff
Ignore where that PLEX is coming from, ignore the macroeconomics - just call it PLOX and treat it like an NPC trade good that costs 300-400 million ISK per unit. Now there are no microtransaction involved in your life, it's just a very high-ISK vanity item.

hmm i pay 15 dollars so i want god mod jove ship and claim souvreignty and hold it forever because thats content.
Make perfect sense.
Your reasoning is flawed.. Try something better. Problem is you cant. You make an premises then via circular logic you prove it. Well thats how it could work in other ehm games.
/not meant as an insult. Just pointing out the base of all those thread created in past 24 or so hrs.

See, as we are all adults who can put 1+1 together, we can't just "ignore" where the plex is coming from. We look at the system, not just our own interest.
And plex is not the problem, not even the vanity stuff (well, i don't like it, but still), its where this is going to end (it always does, show me a game where it doesnt, its the system). And now we have the document to proof where CCP wants it to end, at items that influence the game directly.
So, what else is there to say?

Yep, complete slap in the face seeing as a large portion of Eve players have multiple accounts.
