Because I just can't fathom why CCP is doing this. The prices for the vanity items are unintelligible.
CCP, if this is one last cash grab before The Old Republic lays waste to half of the population of New Eden, it's poorly done.

Why ANYone would be quitting ... especially because the vanity items (which weren't there before and you DON'T have to buy) or because of the CQ being too resourse intensive (The audio babbling and visual business gets real old real fast anyways) is TOTALLY beyond ME !
I think they did a GREAT job mind you and a lot of the little fixes are handy dandy.
but whatever ...

Also I have decided not to pay in dollars anymore unless CCP clearly states there future plans for EVE and I am satisfied MT will be a tiny tiny insignificant part of it. Otherwise I will just burn my remaining isk on subs and quit when it runs out...

Hint: we aren't quiting because of Incarna, Captain's Quarters, or even because of ridiculous prices with NEX. Performance issues with Captain's Quarters can be fixed through patches, upgraded equipment or disabling it. Prices for NEX items can be ignored.

The reason why we are quitting is because we asked an incredibly simple question:
Are you moving beyond VANITY AUR items?
All we wanted was a simple yes/no, possibly followed by an explanation or justification. Instead we got:

I don't care about microtransactions - I really don't. The NEX prices were surprising, and I disliked them but I wouldn't cancel my accounts over them. But I can only interpret CCP's above response to have deceitful intentions.
If CCP is able to give us a straightforward answer to this question which is being asked, then I will resubscribe my accounts and continue to play so long as EVE is fun to play.

I'm sure that individually you're all fine upstanding specimens of humanity. Unfortunately your company demands you ignore essential aspects of the game in favour of releasing crummy money-grubbing crap.
It's been your obvious disdain for the player base, whilst keeping their wallets in high regard, that has truly driven me off.
Your handling of the Alliance Tournament didn't help though. It looked cheap, felt cheap and ultimately was proven to be cheap. I mean c'mon guys, you could have at least paid for Soundwave to have an hour of media training so he at least looked in the right camera whilst he hawked your embarrassed sponsors wares.

Whatever. I don't even care anymore. The blatant disrespect of CCP in the handling of this matter has ****ed away the surprisingly sizable goodwill they had left with me after 3+ years of stillborn expansions and half-baked good ideas. Thinking of the hours and dollars I've sunk into this game almost sickens me now knowing how the developers who were once interested in creating a truly unique and uncompromising gaming experience now see us; I'm not sure if I'll be back even if they sort this thing out.
I'll take it as a sign that my 1yr sub expires in 2 weeks. Guess I'll check out what the cool kids are doing over at Perpetuum.
