By cleverly working a few of the systems in EVE you can reliably bring down hulks with little to no risk to yourself and make a fortune while your at it!
To start off have a corp mate create a new account and train it up to the t1 combat frig before joining your corp. This will be a disposable bait character while you wait to warp in. Meanwhile fit out a ship with a high damage ganking fit.
When your buddy has finished training his alt and is safe inside your corp have him fly around looking for any mining vehicle with a combat drone out. When you've located a suitable miner have your friend suicide onto the miner. When your friend attacks the miner the drones will automatically respond to the threat killing him quickly and flagging the miner to your corp. Your now free to wail on the hulk and take whatever it drops without repercussions! When your friends alt's security status drops to low to be used simply delete it and replace it with another alt. |

I don't think the Scottish Fold approve of alt recycling

When the alt attacks the miner, he becomes red to everyone, so everyone (including the miner) would be able to legally attack him back. So no one else in the corp would be allowed to attack the miner when his drones shoot the suicide alt because the miner is allowed to attack him legally. |

Edited by: Isaacvo on 23/06/2011 05:54:10 Nope, still flags the miner to your corp. He literally, cannot in any way defend himself. If your quick enough he wont even have time to pack up and leave. You and a corp mate can try it out in a really cheap ship if you want, even an ibis can work. Go suicide into the side of a hulk while your friend watches.

Except that Miner A aggroing Ganker A only gives aggro to Ganker A, not all of Ganker A's corp or Ganker B.

First... Why train the alt at all... Noobship with noob gun can fire on Hulk...
Second... Yea they do go flashy for the corp... Let me know how it turns out for you though when you actually fire and had already turned off the concordian warning.

You can not turn off the warning in Hisec. Let me rephrase-you CAN turn it off, but it will come back every time no matter what you do. Also op is on crack-aggro mechanics don't work like that. /thread -1/10

Troll post is troll ... either that or the OP doesn't understand how the flagging mechanics actually work.
One member of your corporation GCC'ing on a miner (or any ship for that matter) who fires back in defense does not GCC-flag that defending ship to the rest of your corporation.

If this were actually possible, there wouldn't be any hulks left...

Also it's not guaranteed that the miner's drones will automatically attack the aggressor back again. Which is irrelevant since this method is wrong anyway.

Character-recycling for this purpose is considered an exploit.

Y'know I wouldn't put it beyond eve to have aggro mechanics that work like this.
But no, they absolutely don't.
The real life parallel kinda made me giggle tho. A guy tries to burgle my house, and I hit him (ie not kill or even use a weapon) and his friends can legally murder me. And the cops chilling out in my living room just go 'Nah you guys go to town, we totally saw him take a swing at your bro'.
