I'm trying to fit a vindicator for mission running, I'm having problem with that though. This is what I have so far:
[Vindicator, MIssion runner (gurista resists)] Federation Navy Magnetic Field Stabilizer Federation Navy Magnetic Field Stabilizer Federation Navy Magnetic Field Stabilizer Imperial Navy Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane Armor Thermic Hardener II Armor Kinetic Hardener II Imperial Navy Large Armor Repairer
Sensor Booster II Tracking Computer II, Tracking Speed Tracking Computer II, Tracking Speed Federation Navy Stasis Webifier [empty med slot]
425mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L 425mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L 425mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L 425mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L 425mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L 425mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L 425mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L 425mm Railgun II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge L
Large Hybrid Collision Accelerator I Large Capacitor Control Circuit I [empty rig slot]
Now as you see, there is a rig slot open and a mid slot open. The problem is however, that I only have 20 powergrid to spare with all skills at lvl 5! With my skills the hybrid rig takes too much powergrid, and I'm not sure what do to. If I remove it, the damage and tank bonus this vindi has over my Kronos is very insignificant. Thus I believe I am doing something wrong when fitting them out. (Also, I do not calculate drone damage when making fits, I believe 4 gardes would do more damage than the 5 hammerheads on my Kronos) -Lina Theist |

And train a year for projectiles + minmatar lvl5? I don't think so, sorry. I'm just wondering if there is any fit out there working without hybrid rigging lvl5 and more dps than my kronos. -Lina Theist |

i'm on the phone and thus have no fittings saved. But if you want a decent missionship out of it you need to shieldtank it. Much like the domi. Parrots, commence!

Really? Is that going to work against close orbiting enemies like serpentis? I don't want to miss that tasty web bonus

5 midslots should be enough for a shield tank, even with a web.
Something like: Pith B-type XL, DG invuln, 2x rat-specific hardeners, Fed Navy web should work fine.
Pricey, yes, but if you were wworried about price/performance, you wouldn't be using a hybrid boat for ISK making.

I see. Well, is there any fit that would outperform my kronos? As far as I'm concerned, it's even harder to fit a xl shield booster than a large armor repairer. How am I supposed to get my turrets on?

When trying to squeeze rails and a shield tank on this ship you are going to run into cpu issues real quick, plus you really want some sensor boosting in there as well considering the optimal + falloff for rails.
all in all theres much better options for running missions, i think the kronos is one of them. The vindicator is a very cool ship, but i cant seem to find a decent fit with rails for it, and not sure if using blasters in missions is all that great, id rather use my machariel with autocannons :)

During DT I experimented a bit with Navy dominix and navy megathron. I have to say the fits I came up with are quite promising, but I'll need to train more drones. This made me think, shouldn't the kronos have an extended drone bay + drone capacity? It's easy to outperform a kronos damage wise with the gallente navy ships.

T2 shield hardeners are 44 CPU each. DG/CN are 30. That can make a hell of a difference.
There's also the option of using a Gist MWD and running a blaster fit with 3 magstabs & 2-3 TEs, which sounds like all kinds of fun. Although it would definitely not be "low attention" PvEing.

looks good so far. i will just throw my armor fit in for you to have a look:
i use this on guristas only, so tank is sufficient for most missions. switch 1 mfs for a hardener, if you run into trouble. point for me was, that weapons and mids should run indefinitely, thus the ccc rigs i normally despise. booster runs when tank runs. wardens are your only chance without the omnies, so no-brainer. and another point, one web only wont cut it, if you think of shooting frigs. the guristas webbers only get hit by rails if you double web them even with the vindi.

this is the attempt on a shield tank:
while quite nice, it has only the same damage and simply does not get the same targeting range from the sigamp as it gets from the s-booster and putting a web on there will put even more pressure on your tank. also its more expensive. so while i would normally also shield tank everything, in this case i find the armor version better.

2 ways to solve your problem.
1) Remove the collision accelerator rig. This rig cause weapons to use more PW and anyway you have already 3 damage mods. this rig will be heavilly penalty stacked anway.
2) Large Ancillary Current Router I

Hmm. I guess I could skip the rig. But I still don't do much more damage in a vindi than a kronos. -Lina Theist |

with my skills its 803 (vindi with 4 mfs) to 775 (kronos with 4 mfs and t2 burst) pure gun dps without imps. while this is not the world, it is more which is better in my book.
without a doubt, if you consider serpentis, the kronos is the more comfortable ship to fly because of the good base targeting range with you can bolster against the dampening. thinking about it, a blaster fit could do good in missions with close spawns.
against guristas more than double the sensor strength on the vindi is a good thing.

Do you have hybrid rigging to 4? Alot of people train it to 1 just to fit the rig, but training higher reduces the penalty. Not sure if this will help you or not.
