I really enjoyed this book. I just finished it today. I will be going to get Empyrean age today. Is there another book in the works now?

Empyrean Age is over 9000 times better than burning life.

I greatly enjoyed Empyrean Age. Not classic lit, but a darn good yarn.

Another book set in the EVE universe is upcoming. It's called Templar One, and is to be authored by Tony Gonzalez, who wrote Empyrean Age (which is generally considered to be the better of the two EVE novels). I believe it's going to focus on DUST.

Post in defence of Burning Life. I really enjoyed it! It wasn't a great work of art, but I thought it was a lot of fun.

Empyrean Age was a fantastic read from start to finish and really helped to flesh out a lot of the universe for me. I'm trying to pester the GF into reading it, she's just started playing Eve (Bad timing, i know -.-).

Yeah I have read the majority of the chronicles too and they helped some with that. I wish they kept posting chronicles here but it seems they just put them in the E magazine now. Tell your GF to not pay attention to the drama queens.

It's taking all i have to divert her away from these forums. I'm not one of the doom singers myself, sure CQ is a bit naff but it's not the end of the world. I have to have faith that CCP will revise their plans, a public outcry such as this can't go unoticed. Dare i liken it to the Real ID shenanigans on that game i shall not mention?
Back on topic, the chronicles are fantastic and a massive part of the reason i enjoy this game so much. They also did much to help persusade a hesistant GF to start playing. Such a book worm is that one. Won't be long before she'll want to write one.

Burning Life is a romance where the EVE universe takes a background role. Its about two people who live on it, and has no great battles with titans and hundreds of ships and things to which the player can relate in-game. Unlike Empyrean Age, where the characters take a backgrond role instead.
Comparing Burning Life with Empyrean Age is like comparing a Coppola movie with a Michael Bay movie. Empyrean Age is easy to like because its an action packed novel. Burning Life is a drama that relies heavily on character psychology, so its obvioulsy not for everyone. ____________

Yup. The Burning Life was a big pile of mumbling. It seems like the author's intention wasn't to write a good story, but to write definition of all the EVE terminologies.
Story wise, Empyrean Age is a better read.
