Looking for some advice in running 2 or more courier missions at a time. Right now I'm running level 2's ATM in a Wreathe and plan on moving to a Mammoth soon. But was courious which rig's would be better for transporting faster. Should i fix 2 align time rigs and 1 A/U rig, vice versa or pure one type rig? all i got fitted so far is Inertia Stabilizers.

Before speed, for courier missions you need room. L4s can take upwards of 8000m3 and I've seen L3s take close to that. L2s won't be a problem but it is something to thing about as you move up levels. I tend to run couriers in a ship that can handle 8000m3 and then run one L4 or L3, a L3 and a L4, or two L3s at a time, depending on the space required. Sticking with L1s or L2s you likely won't have to worry about space. In that case the question is whether you are jumping gate to gate or are going AFK. If you'll be active with your mission, then warp and align time is important. If going AFK you'll find that velocity is what will hold you back. Since I AFK mostly, I put overdrives in my lows and augment warp with my rigs. Unfortunately overdrives rob cargospace but with skills and ship, I can still haul what I need. Personally, I've never noticed align time to be a big issue, but the spreadsheet warriors may have some calculations for you.

Edited by: Helmut 314 on 24/06/2011 08:04:38 Csrgo expansion rigs + expanders or nanofibers in lows is the optimal setup for courier missions. If you want something faster the Exequror is a good hauling cruiser and the Probe is an excellent small item hauler. Protip : find a station with two or three courier agents , they tend to hand out missions to the same systems. |

First off thanks for the quick response. I really don't afk a lot (if at all). I started off running a Probe with the Inertia Stabilizers, then i found a system where i can run 2 to 3 courier mission at a time, Hince the move up to the Wreathe (the probe just didn't have the cargo space for it). And yes i planned on moving up to level 3/4 missions. But i'm trying to keep my courier runs in synch with my encounter mission level ATM because where i run cargo (is to break up the Kill X dock rinse and repeat stuff when i get board with it) just so happens there's a encounter storyline agent i get sent to. Now after i fit my BS for missions, I'll probley upgrade to a orca or a tech 2 indy to run trade cargo (non mission stuff). Then again i might just train up my combat skills and join FW, and just get a hauling alt. But thats some time away. Thx for the advice.

Also you can find areas with lots of courier agents (now easier than ever) that will send you on an endless loop, with agent A sending you to the same system (sometimes same station) as agent B, agent B sends you to agent C, and agent C sends you back to agent A to start it all over again. Sometimes of course you get sent off on a tangent and it doesn't work out so well, but most of the time you get the loop. (requires high enough faction standings to access any agent though since you'll be working for multiple corps at once.)
I've found that courier agents tend to send you to the same places, even though they could pick like 20 systems in range to send you, they will only ever send you to the same few every time, as if each agent has their own preferences for the systems they send you to.
