I unsubbed two of my 4 accounts over CCP not addressing game play issues. Debating letting the other two go after I read that womans' "FEARLESS" memo on how we are the "golden goose". CCP has a huge disconnect with their player base. They don't understand their socio-economics. This is not GOLF or Heli-skiing. It is EVE - and EVE shouldn't cost that much let alone should we be funding some other game like WOD.
Count me for two right now.

Wrong.
Remeber SWG and sony? They basically made the work that the elite old players had done to make themselves elite pointless. They were trying to appeal to a broader player base and made their existing players extremely angry by discounting years of play time. It reached a tipping point, and the community left en-masse - the current CCP changes are more in danger of doing this than anything else I have seen. if your corp decides to move to another game, then basically it's good to move together.
You have to make people very angry for them to move, because players feel strongly about their MMO, and I think CCP is getting close.
I have to go and spend $250 dollars to get a new card to run the game because of these last, completely pointless, changes. I cant't play eve-online with the current low end card I have to use.
I'm going to wait on the current changes to see if its going to be worthwhile spending the moneyy. otherwise - 6 accounts

I unfortunately have another couple months since I did the 3 month deal. If CCP doesn't actually listen to the people who keep them in business (They won't, they've made it apparent, which is depressing) Then my hard earned money will go to a company that deserves it.
Despite being the laughing stock of the mmo gaming community, they're still being stubborn. I'm shocked at the incompetence. Add me please since it's obvious we're being completely ignored.

I'd highly recommend everyone cancelling to attempt a chargeback through your bank/creditcard company.
We may not have mind-boggling numbers, but this many accounts doing a chargeback of a years subs will have some impact on CCP's bottom line.

based on the numbers from just this thread, CCP is standing to lose at least $145,000 in annual revenue. I'd like to know the true number of subs that have been dropped since Incarna hit. This has to be hitting them hard. |
