According to the rumour mill (and semi-confirmed by the leaked e-mail) - they'll say nothing. CCP are only looking at sales in the ca$h $hop as far as metrics go, they're completely ignoring subscription cancellations and forum threads. We're just posting here to vent rage and bond with each other, not to get CCP's attention as we already know they're ignoring us.

After seeing the leaked email by Hilmar I'm done for good. I thought CCP were good guys and put a lot of money into this game in subs and store purchases thinking I was supporting a good company that deserved it, I couldn't have been more wrong about the ****ers.
-1 account (This one) once it runs out of pre-paid time (unless I can get a charge back to recover my money)
-2 alt accounts I won't be re-activating ever.
Even have several more new copies I purchased on Steam to bring friends in that I won't ever get to use now. |

I'm on the 30 "free" days from the CD...If CCP doesn't make an official statement promising to NEVER allow real money to do anything other than buy the vanity items, I won't be renewing my subscription. I don't mean a comment that says "we have no current plans" (seen that before...aka LOTRO); I mean a promise that this game is not ever going in that direction.
Right now I am feeling really insulted as a paying customer for the way CCP is handling this. I simply do not want to waste time and money on a game again that is going to be ruined by the micro-transaction model. It especially seems to be a horrid fit for a game like Eve.
So add me to your list. If I change my mind due to some action on CCPs part, I'll reply again to this thread if it is still active.

I've got three accounts that I won't resubscribe unless CCP changes the plans drastically. I really don't mind the vanity items, I even like some of the aspects of Incarna, but as soon as non-vanity stuff hits the aurum market, or any other sorta real wallet trading stuff occurs, I'll cancel and never look back. Especially with some other stuff coming out soon that looks damned juicy.
Edit: I also know half a dozen people who play this game with me in my city, who I will most definately encourage to leave as well, which would add another 9+ accounts, but I'll let them speak for themselves.

It is a very sad state of affairs for the once great game called EVE, It is a real kick in the teeth for the player base when an internal Email gets leaked out. It isn't just the email though there are a whole list of things that are now driving people away from the game in droves..
I have to wonder if CCP have considered what they would do with Dust IF EVE was to decline in a big way? Would or could Dust be developed as a stand alone game without EVE as an added draw card? or would it just not work without the EVE side of things being plugged in?
Anyway like many others my sub time is close to running out & unless there are some HUGE changes before the sub runs out I think I will be joining the many others that are taking their hard earned $$$$ elsewhere.
I think we may soon need to start considering if or when we are going to take a moment to stand in silence in the memory of what was once a GREAT game.

Playing since 2005.... -3 accounts. 2 have already lapsed and the third expires in the fall and has already been canceled.
T20 and Kugu stuff.... 18 months..... PROMISING never to do microtransactions.... RMT/Botting..... 4 years to make a room with 1 on screen character..... PI .... Planetary flight..... man I could go on and on.
I guess your veil of B.S. just finally wore off, and I must be thick to have bought it for so long.
Man this game used to be so full of hope and promise....

I was about to plex a trial that i had just started. That will not be happening now. I will not be resubbing my alt. Pending CCp's ACTIONS(your words hold no value in our eyes any longer, CCP) we will find out if I will cancel my main as well. -2 from me for now
