I'm not just talking about the newsletter or CQ overheating hardware or AUR. I'm talking about the DUST514 PS3-exclusive scandal, Incarna breaking Corporation Recruitment, many long-outstanding issues not being fixed, and anything else that is negative or controversial. We're long past pointing fingers and complaining, and even CCP's PR person has already apologized for the newsletter. However, the next question both we and CCP must ask is "how do we fix this"? Here are some options:
A. Do nothing, continue fixing the major game-breaking bugs while potentially ignoring the smaller ones, continue developing DUST 514 for PS3 only, and eventually have non-vanity items for sale.
B. Completely reverse their direction: remove AUR and the Noble Exchange, finish the remaining CQs ASAP, then focus on fixing every little issue from the last 7 years before releasing any new content. Develop & release DUST-514 for at least the 360 and PC and Wii if technically possible (as well as PS3).
C. CCP's CEO, CFO, COO, and/or those in an executive position resign and new leadership follows Option B.
D. CCP sells EVE Online & DUST 514 to the highest bidder (probably Microsoft).
E. <insert option here>
I would go with B, but if CCP's executives choose A, then I would want to see C happen.

Edited by: Dr Prometheus on 24/06/2011 14:04:52 Hopeing for B. but there is somethign wich cant be done;
Dust514 for the Xbox; Microsoft dont want to have this type of games using there network for free.
NeX can stay in my eyes, as logn as the prices drop, and it stays with nobelty items; like shipskins, wich you need to trade a ship+aurum for.
And Helicity can stay where he/she/it is now, as its deserved. The rumour about people beeing banned by supporting; would like to see some proof. (And no; people related to Helicity and/or Helicity self is no proof.) - Dude where is my Charon? - |

I would love to say that 'B' will happen and the game will go from strength to strength and everyone will be happy and there will be tulips and roses all over the world...
However being a realist I know it will be 'A' and this means EvE as we know it will probably die in the next 12 - 18 months.

EvE is dying from the start so what else is new? (WoW is using same type of NeX idea and they charge monthly fee, novelty items AND charge for each expansion. and isnt dying.)

Just pointing out that I didn't say EvE itself would die. I said EvE as we know and love it may well be a thing of the past.
Please make sure if quoting me you don't sound like a jackass and read the entire post.
Thanks

DUST 514 won't be coming for the Xbox 360, since Microsoft won't allow crossplay. It's the very same reason we only saw Portal 2 for the PS3 and not Xbox 360, because Sony does allow crossplay.

lulwat? Tell me, have you seen the forums recently? If you call Dust being PS3 exclusive a scandal, what in a cold hell do you call this?
Also, a couple of thoughts: Why should anyone resign over this and how would this help? Selling to Microsoft? I need to ask, are we talking about solving problems or creating an even bigger mess here? I need to get what you're smoking; seems like a perfectly blissful place.

E: Start moderating their forums and banning the people with unfounded whines.
or A. works, seriously what are they ruining? some dufus might by a fancy ships with fancy ammo? Considering just how terrible the general populous is at this game (seriously check out the battleclinic fits people suck hard at this game) and the squishy nature of ships, this is no different than getting a lul faction km.
