Just copy paste Helicity DIAF to CCP exactly word by word here and its the safest way out of eve. Also interested if it would work, else ccp fails badly.

Sad but understandable, I've sold and deleted chars as well and in the process of selling the remainder and then convert all the isk to plex and let it rot. This one exists because I have relapse issues.

Nah. My character will die with my subscription. Plus, I wouldn't get **** for him anyway. I'll just stick with my sub being cancelled and that will be that. No need to fuel the "Taking PLEX out of the market" or "Giving CCP monies".

I cancelled my account because I wanted to make a point, and beyond that because I refuse to be a part of the game CCP at this moment appears intent on making. I disagree with it in practice and I disagree with it in principle.
This does not, however, mean I want to scorched-earth my account, burn the bridge, cover the horizon in napalm and walk off knowing I'll never want to come back because I sold off all my progress. If, and if, CCP sees reason in this and the end result of this entire cluster**** is positive, then I want to come back. I love the game EVE is and hate the game EVE stands to become.
So selling off my (admittedly not particularly advanced at all) character in order to make a point also screws me over if CCP hears that point.

When you get the ISK from the sale make sure to donate it in 500mil - 1bil ISK chunks to people you don't like with the reason field filled out 'Invoice #34343554'(sequential numbers for each donation).
It's a recipe for hilarity, and likely what I'll do before I log off the final time.

Selling your characters and everything for ISK then converting it to PLEX then unsubbing would be bad for CCP's bottom line. Unused plex sitting around is a potential liability. Each one represents a previous months/quarters income that has come and gone and represents a future potential loss of income from a paying account. There is a reason why they want to put a PLEX sink in, to limit this liability.
Paying the transfer fee to buy a ton of plex to archive away does more harm to their bottom line then the small fee to transfer the character...

Actually I had enough with CCP a few months ago, at which point I took a break. What's troubling now is not so much what's said in the internal publication (I know how such publications work and that it's nothing official) but rather the implemention of the Noble Exchange and the bad communication surrounding it (refusing to discuss the prices with the CSM for instance).

Uh... Biomass your characters?
Not that I'm going to biomass mine, but all selling your account does is transfer it to another person in game for in game isk, and gives CCP more money via transfer fee.
If you're uber serious about leaving Eve for good, biomass your toons then cancel your sub.

You could also maintain one alt until the next Plex For Good drive and donate them en masse. That way CCP would actually have to find the cash to payout.

Sir just wanted to say you were one of my favorite eve celebrities and some1 I look up to. Never read ur forum posts because I try to stay away from t hem but ur jc service is cool and a great example of sanbox gaming by the good guys. I wish id know about eve from the start so I could have played it when it was good. Perhaps I am a noob but I am not quitting until I see th is junk materialize but in you and others quitting great harm has been done by ccp to the game.

Yes like CCP have either the cash reserves or the chance to offset it all against losses if a lot of people did it. Offsetting anything against losses now isn't going to work.

Naw Brah.. I'm going one better. I've given away all my isk, ships and modules and have started the Bio-Mass count down timer for all my toons except this one while I wait for a friend to train some corp skills so I can hand over CEO.
Not even gonna go into the reasons why, but the last few years have for the most part been fun. However, some things just can't be accepted in the behavior of a company, and CCP has crossed those behavioral lines one too many times for me.
