The players ARE this game, not you CCP, and the faster you learn this and ACCEPT it, the better.
o/ Long Live The Fighters.
Amen
I started playing eve because of the influenc the players have over the world and the close relationship between the players and the developers... And now CCP want to change that?!
If CCP are not careful here they will create an "us and them" situation and eve will crumble.

All this unity is fun and all, but it's much better when we're all at each other's throats. So please, end the MT saga, and let us get back to serious business.

Originally by: Reilly Duvolle Ironically, if the player protests and demonstrations succeeds in bringing CCP "in line" with player sentiment, that fact alone will bring more players into this game universe than ever before. This is virtual reality at is best.
The forum goers have had two victories in the past. The Chaos Incarnate face debacle and the Other Game Discussion fiasco are two examples of the forum user base coming together and getting CCP to listen to the user. Albeit those are two minor situations compared to what we are now experiencing, CCP has responded in or favor before.
If the players do get CCP to move in line with player sentiment as it has to do with actual game play changes, it will probably make CCP go down in the history books yet again as a company with a reasonable and decent head at the top of the beast.

I raise my glass to you brother! And also to the decent people at CCP that are against this crap that their CITIBANK managers are ordering them to do - I have no doubt that many of you are also not happy about this, as is evident in the leaked document. I urge you CCPers to speak out now at your crisis meetings and stand up for what your loyal customers want. I still remember when you were all about sharks with freaking laser cannons and not greed is good.
Please... let me wake up from this nightmare.

YES, we CARE FOR THIS GAME!!!!
Unlike OTHERS that supposedly "own" it. You can "own" as much as you want of a piece of software, but the SPIRIT and the SOUL that make this piece of software be something else, NO SIR, you CAN"T OWN that!
YOU Cant OWN us, YOU CANT OWN the HUMAN SPIRIT that INFUSES THIS GAME!
You can say , lock, divert or outright lie to the VOID for all we care, WE ARE EVE, not you , the "owners" of empty bits and bytes of raw data, WE ARE THE MACHINE, the SOUL , the HEART!
You don't OWN our minds!
PROTEST!!!! IF NOT JITA, go to AMARR!!! PROTEST! for its GOOD! and we NEED A REVOLUTION! STAND UP AGAINST THE TANKS, Against the Water JET of greed and faceless corporations, FIGHT !!!! That is your right! ---Archipelago Theory---

This is why I love Eve Online so much. Players protest without fear, players demand change that they hoped, and they all do it however and whenever they feel like it. This is what makes Eve Online so much more better than WoW, STO, and the Sims. People can be so passionate about Eve Online that we are all willing to blob several monuments across Jita, Amarr, Dodixie and Rens just to get our point across.
If anything, the mass protest has only solidified my loyalty to this game even further because this level of passion shown by the players is something no one else will ever see in other MMOs. In other MMOs, such passion is mainly shown in the forums. But in Eve, protests will literally span an entire galaxy and literally grind the economic hubs to a screeching halt.

Let's see if you can play this game if CCP decides to pull the plug on Tranquility. CCP owns this game, not you. Sooner you accept this, the better.

CCP will never do that. They may own this game, but they know all too well that the players are the lifeblood of Eve Online. Without us, Eve is nothing. No matter how you look at it, glass half full/half empty/broken glass/etc., the player... no... the Capsuleers of New Eden are Eve.

Never say never, altough yes it's doubtful they'd do that. But hot damn I'm happy I don't work for CCP, because I'd be without a job right now for blowing up on everyones face for being total ****tards towards something I love as dearly as most players do. I just gotta tip my hat for CCP reps keeping their cool despite all the **** people keep pouring on them.
