Dear M14d:
12 months ago CCP raised the possibility of MT including a discussion on whether it would impact game play. The players said No. The players said No so strongly that CCP issued a blog, saying woah hold your horses we ain't gonna do that.
3 Days ago CCP bought MT into the game at a level no one expected and that misaligned to the expectations they had set prior to the release of incarna. Many eve players felt lied to. 1 Day later an internal newsletter is leaked that shows CCP are discussing doing what they said they would not do. many more Eve players feel lied to. Today they release a blog saying "chill winston - it means nothing". Many more eve players feel lied to.
As a player group we put this to bed 12 months ago - there is to be no MT for game affecting features. CCP have bought it back to the fore as a possibility. It is not a possibility.
New eden will burn before the players allow it.

That's right. Every single flaming idiot post on these forums is matched by 20 people who don't agree with you. That's why ccp isn't backing down, and I applaud them for sticking to their plans. I really wish that those of you who are claiming to quit really would quit.
Your absence would make eve just that much better.
Your logic is poor.
For every angry loud person there are about 1000 silent. The loud angry people are multiple account holders (I am the voice of 6 accounts). There is a much larger angry segment than you predicate.
The silent majority will sit and do nothing until they decide to log off cancel their sub and not log back in. There are very few players who are pre 2007 who understand the importance of this issue and are supportive of CCP.
Who cares about the pre 2007 crews? All the media CCP have released in the last 3 years is predicated on their actions. (CCP care)

You think that you're important because you've been playing for a long time. And all of of these scary potential changes worry you because they would allow newer players to compete with your older players. That's all there is to it. I have no idea what direction ccp will go other than what has been clearly stated. And I'm fine with it. If the game gets ruined, I'll play another game. No big deal. Why don't you all stop playing Internet superhero and go blow up some ships?
Sheesh, some of you with your total misunderstanding of rights and liberties make me not only embarrassed to play eve but also embarrassed to be a U.S. Citizen. I hope you don't use the same lack of logic when you vote.

In 1936 less than 15% of the adult German population were members of the **** Party. If good people don't stand up then evil flourishes. I am not worried about cookies being taken away. I am worried that CCP will lose its market niche and become another generic lame game. Eve is by far the best game I have found and as such I am a loyal customer.
The US constitution is incredibly flawed and the separation of morale values from economic gain for self has lead to the dramatic decline in your country.

You still haven't responded to my point:
This is not a new discussion. It is CCP having a discussion internally that was had 12 months ago with CSM5. The end result of that process was a segment of the eve population quitting and CCP claiming they would not carry on along those lines. The rage is due to being lied to.
