Well, I think it is clear upper management in CCP got them from a Japanese botique (wtf is that). However, real question is how many players spend more than $1000 for their pants?

I don't think my entire wardrobe over the course of my lifetime exceeds $600. My pants have holes in them and were about $10 and $2 shirts. Then again, I dress like a hobo.

The most expensive thing in my wardrobe is a set of lockpicks.

this just in my buddy bought a used car for less than the cost of zulu's mythical jeans, also in the US we we buy our clothes in stores, not sure WTF a botique is, but regardless if you spending 1000$ on a pair of jeans they better jerk me off and hold/shake it for me when the need arrises.

I have a problem with the jeans analogy, because I feel like it is insight into the way the company views their game and business model.
I am not to sure I want to play a MMO that wants to be the independent fashion boutique, looking to sell 10 pairs of jeans for $1000.
I want my MMO thinking they are Wal-Mart, Sell 500 pairs of jeans for $20.

Didn`t CCP state at some point that they consider EVE a "premium MMO"? Could explain their silly attitudes.

They're not mythical, someone linked them. A boutique is where rich people, and employees of CCP, apparently do their shopping.
The first word of a sentence has a capital, along with names (This, Zulu). Capitals aren't just for WTF's and OMG's you know. Oh and when talking about money you'll want to put the dollar sign at the start of the number.

I don't even own a $100 pair of pants. -------------------------------------------------- You can conceal sadism in technical language or flowery words, but it's still just as fun to watch. |

OH MY GOD GUYS.
We finally figured it out, this was all just a misunderstanding, CCP thought they were using fair prices, because they think in yen. How could we all have been so stupid, this really wasn't that big of a deal at all!

Not I.
That was a very unconvincing analogy, and in poor taste given the crystal clear feedback the community has shared.
Again, its not about the prices. People blow up monocle priced ships every day in Eve. Any player worth his salt, could grind the isk for one in a few evenings if they really wanted it. Players just want to know one question.....
WILL AURUM BE USED TO OBTAIN IN GAME ADVANTAGES??

CCP, better go talk to your economist. I make roughly the average wage for a working male in my city. I make about $100 a day take-home pay, 5 days a week.
I don't spend 2-weeks pay (a paycheck for me) on a pair of jeans. My "expensive" pants are a few $50 pairs that I wear to interviews and weddings.
Also consider that I am the lead technician for a team that provides all of the technical support to the entire municipal government for one of the largest cities in the world (PD, Fire, Health, Law, Alderman etc). (And yes I'm underpaid, hence my mention of fancy interview pants.)
But realize this; I don't work for McDonalds. I have a fairly respectable job and a fairly average wage. I have a fiancee and a 2-year-old and paying the bills is my primary concern.
Maybe I'm not this rich, monocle-obsessed weekend-golfer that you are targeting, but I really think you have the wrong idea of how far the majority of us are willing to go to spend money on an online game.

I can not imagine a more inappropriate or thoroughly misguided blog than this to reply to the present crisis.
This just seems to confirm the extreme disconnect that CCP has with it's player base. They seem for some strange reason to believe that we are exceptionally rich and frivolous with our incomes.
