Originally by: Baraka Saibot Five Stages Of Grief
Denial and Isolation. At first, we tend to deny the loss has taken place, and may withdraw from our usual social contacts. This stage may last a few moments, or longer.
Anger. The grieving person may then be furious at the person who inflicted the hurt (even if she's dead), or at the world, for letting it happen. He may be angry with himself for letting the event take place, even if, realistically, nothing could have stopped it.
Bargaining. Now the grieving person may make bargains with God, asking, "If I do this, will you take away the loss?", "If I buy a monocle maybe they have enough money to actually do some game-design?"
Depression. The person feels numb, although anger and sadness may remain underneath.
Acceptance. This is when the anger, sadness and mourning have tapered off. The person simply accepts the reality of the loss. and buys 8 monocles. Or so some believe.
Acceptance in this case is when you accept this game will no longer be worth playing.

Originally by: Harland White It's very depressing to think that CCP is not half as devoted to its players and subscribers as I was thinking. The newsletter was bad enough, but that horrible e-mail that got leaked really tore it.
Shame on you, CCP. Truly, shame on you.
Two subscriptions cancelled on my part. They'll be reactivated if you reactivate your morals, CCP.
Clearly some of the employees are dedicated, SOMEONE has been leaking all this stuff...
I feel worse for them. This is just a game I'm losing, they're losing their livelihood. |

It's really amazing to see how much the community cares more than the people that receive the paycheck. We really have the best community of any video game.
I don't think they realize what they're doing to the game and the players' trust right now.
At least I will be able to say that I was there when the second NGE happened.
Sigh. ____________________________________________ I REFUSE to watch Eve Online die without fighting.

1. I have no problem with ccp selling vanity items.
2. I have no problem with the cq (running 2 of them maxed 30fps)
3. I have no problem with ccp making money
4. I have a problem with ccp selling performance related items.
5. CCP wont say they wont sell these items even when asked thousands of times. They re-frame the issue instead that we are mad because the price of these items are too high. They could be 10 cents and i wouldnt buy them.
6. Both my accoutns are unsubbed.

You know I'm sad but at the same time elated. I've missed so much playing EVE. I came from SWG during the NGE fiasco and even before this blew up during the tourney and other things I had said I saw the coming storm. Maybe I can fix my social life and things if EVE does cease to be, I'm paid up for 6 months, always pay by the year cause its cheaper. Both accounts that are active.
I'll keep playing, we'll have to see what the future holds though. Perhaps something will turn it around. I fear though the damage done in the last couple of days are like a SWG NGE event. I don't know if CCP has in it to recover. More than likely due to its small size it will eventually be bought out by another corporation more to get the WoD rights than EVE.
Perhaps something will awaken the leaders of CCP. Right now pray for them, pray that they'll realize the mistake they are making.

Hey, we're told to be amoral! I can't help that I'm amoral. But my decisions add content, they don't subtract it. Any ship I explode will be rebuilt by an industrialist, who will buy minerals mined or refined by DRF or miners or missionbears, and will be paid for with isk made from plexes or plexing or missions. And a market manipulator will take a cut at every step.
And I'll write about the experience of blowing up that ship, or the guy flying it will write about being blown up, and the fight we had and how it was great/lame/blobby/a gank and how I'm a great guy/douche/troll/villain.
CCP selling 'gold ammo' does. It's created from nothing. It's paid for with nothing. It gets used for, well, stuff.
But there's no soul in it. And all this game has is the soul. The people playing it gave it that soul. I don't play to shoot npcs or fight soulless pvp matches; if I want that, a thousand thousand other games offer it. I play to protect my space and fight other players who want to take it or ruin it. I have a role, however amoral. I'm part of the great story that is this game.
But CCP? They're the guys making the paper on which the story is written. Their role is to make sure the paper is of good quality, and if it isn't to replace it with better paper.
Now they want to play too. And it's killing the community and the story. And they'll be left with just themselves shouting in an empty room wondering where all the life that once was went. And it's gone because they forgot to make the paper, and there's nothing to write on. It's gone.
That's why this is wrong with a capital W. They're killing the song, the story, and they're doing it for such worthless reasons. Money? Anyone can get money. Who cares. You, CCP, by inaction, are killing something worth more than money, something people care about and write about and think about, even people who have never once played EVE. And all you'll get for it is a few bucks before the caravan moves on.
What profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul, CCP?

Go play Perpetuum instead. You don't need to learn how to play the game, it is LITERALLY EVE Online 2.0.
Overview window, target information above it, lock target button, rats are red crosses, your initial "bot" comes with one gun, one miner and one armor repairer (it is called armor repairer). It cycles, repais at the end of the cycle.. well... it IS EVE 2.0.
Besides, it makes Hilmar angry:
