To all you little pansies unsubbing your accounts I say good riddiance. Although the gameplay is exactly the same( the omen is cooler) your B&Ming because you can't afford a stupid monocle. Is your e-***** so tiny that the way your character looks is somehow going to effect how you play the game? Prob not. Yes the noble exchange is expensive and I like it that way. It's like shopping on Hollywood boulevard, only the richest can afford it. And besides If everyone had a monocle it reAlly would not be that special. If your really willing to cry about how your virtual character looks you are way to attached to this game. It's prob better that you quit and actually focus on your real life. It's the NOBLE exchAnge if everyone could afford it it would not be that noble. Stop crying you poor bastards and just go blow up some spaceships with the cool new omen hulls.
Btw I just bought 3 monocles and gave them away because I'm rich and can do what I want. Suck on that.
And I do miss spinning my ship. CAn we get that back please?

So by your post you've not actually been reading the threads.
Which makes your post a joke as you seem to have no real idea of what the fuss is about.

Stop whining about people "whining". It's about more than a monocle, which you would know if you would take the time to read. For me, its about turning Eve into a joke, a watered down, imitating shell that will lose all relevance if it follows its current path. The structure of Eve was fine as it was, continue that path, fix what's broken and offer up expansions that don't turn it into World of Evecraft. I care less about MTs, I'll never buy anything so they don't affect me.

People are complaining about alot more than an accessory, I am glad you are so vain that you enjoy boasting about the pretty pixels you bought for you character, but more that they intend to make the market partially non-player controlled with AUR. The price of clothing, I could buy real life clothing for the same price as one in game. Also the intention to maybe start selling sp for RL money and micro-transition eve. I personally feel that if they want to do that, then there should be no subscriptions, after all thatS what most MT games do, they are free to play and make money out of the MT side of the business. They are giving unfair advantages to the rich in RL and though I am certainly not poor myself I now many people in real life who have to PLEX like mad to play the game. Do they now have to do the same for a training boost or a new ship? So i am glad you are happy giving away your vain items but for me and the majority of the community we just want to shoot things in our ships!

You've spent the last eight years perfecting your craft to become a master chess player. You absolutely LIVE to crush the enemy beneath the solid tromp of your pieces. You sit down in the world chess championships and someone you've never seen before sits across from you.
"They said I could play you for $20" You grind him into the dirt with your jackboot and he cries. But he is replaced by another pimply faced adolescent. "They said I could play you for $20" The referee removes your knights and your bishops. It's closer, but you still win. But he is replaced by another pimply faced adolescent. "They said I could play you for $20" The referee removes your knights, your bishops, your rooks, and your queen. You lose. The referee offers you a seat to play the new champion for $20. Or you can try to win under the 'free' clause of the tournament. But you only get your King and a row of pawns.
Nothing about this would change the game of chess.

seriously, all the dudes whining about the whiners, if u really hate so much whiners, y u do the same? 1/2 threads r from people who protest (whine according to others) about the new direction EVE is taking 1/2 r from people who whine (protest accordng to someone) about people who makes threads lookin at it i'd say the 2nd 1/2 is the more whiny tbh

What about when they can buy ammo that has 2x damage and 3x range to put in a frigate that has the ehp of a dread and the dps of BS?
Even if it isn't that extreme it will easily reach a point where stuff from the NEX will be just enough better than player made stuff to make it pretty much required, For the MT model to work the pricing can't be to high or it won't actually generate any revenue at which point all this drama will have been for nought.
To really generate revenue MT power items must be enough of an upgrade to justify their expense and cheap enough to make it palatable. Since these items will be transferable it means that these items will end up pushing player made items out of the market. So if say MT ammo comes out then that entire industrial chain is destroyed no more reason to make T1 ammo no reason to use it to cash in with lp for faction ammo, no use for the T2 variant so anyone who put in the effort to learn the skills, to research the blue prints, to earn the standings to build the POS's etc will have all their efforts invalidated. That career path will be shut down to all new players lessening the appeal of the game to new players.
This is what people are concerned about we're not talking slippery slope here we're talking the inevitable destination of this path. It would be one thing if EVE was just a generic no consequence pvp game, but it's not the entire point of EVE is that ones actions have consequences, that your choices have lasting impact on your character.
That when I blow up that fancy faction ship someone bought with a GTC that in addition to creating tears I created the opportunity for another player to generate income from exchanging their LP for those ships that I ensured one more player gets his months subscription paid when my victim replaces said ship.
That my actions have ramifications that spread through the entire game world. This is the difference between a persistent world and some mindless FPS that will disappear when the next big thing comes out. This is why a game such as EVE which frankly has crap gameplay silly mechanics and perhaps the shoddiest UI in the history of MMO gaming is still around and still growing after 8 years.
CCP is literally about to kill the golden goose, they are going to take a property that has the potential to continue for decades to come and burn it out before they even get Dust on the shelves.
