Yes, i'm leaving EVE.
Yes, you could HAVE had my stuff
But the thread got locked apparently.
Give away
So why did i chose to give away stuff? Becuase EVE is about the players something CCP has forgotten. Just because i'm leaving doesn't mean everyone else should nor do i want to harm them in EVE. Quite the contrary they still enjoy EVE so why not let them enjoy it even more. Not only that it makes you feel good, makes them feel good and it leaves you with a postitive mindset that does last throughout the day. Just take the daily news all you see are disasters and scandals which leave a negative mindset and it stays there until you think positive.
I've turned my leaving not into something negative but a positive and others feel it too.
I've had lots of fun in EVE over the years (char born in 2005) but most fun was nullsec PVP'ing but i heard that is all caps now.
I gave away roughly half of my ISKs, duplicate BPOs or BPOs i weren't using at all. Others will enjoy those BPOs now and put them to good use.
No, i'm not going to BIOMASS my characters. BIOMASS is just E-peen nothing more nothing less. CCP doesn't care if you biomass or not only if you subscribe in one way or another or not.
This hottie is outta here in 10-11 days. So thank you EVE players and CCP (until you all went mad like Bank CEOs).

Sorry to see all the old-school people leave, in my opinion those were always the most fun to hang out with. 
As stated in some threads before: Sending me stuff or ISK will result in me writing and singing/posting a song about you, with music type and lyrics written on request.  Mail me for more info if you want.

Thank you all for the comments so far showing by far that the majority of EVE players are good decent people except for the few that also posted here who are obvious just jealous they didn't get any freebies

Thanks again for the 2 BPOs. I've done the rage quit thing (EQ2, KoS expansion. Vendored every single item I had, gave all the plat to the guild, deleted my characters and send screenshots to SOE) and I've done the "give everything away" thing. I posted asking if people wanted to send me their BPOs if they quit Eve. As expected I ran into both types of people, and that's cool. As I have been in both camps I get the different reactions. I think it is great that in a game as competitive as Eve that people still do go the give away route as I will too when the time comes.
Your BPOs are in a good home and I will be using them. I dont do any form of RMT (PLEX or anything else), I am not a reseller and do plan to stick around for quite some time, and I understand and appreciate the amount of time / money / effort that goes into BPOs.
Fly safe and best of luck to you and everyone who is leaving. While I do love market PVPing on alts with everyone in the end we are all on the same side, and clearly CCP is realizing just how strong the community bond can be.

As for myself, this character is older than he looks in more ways than one.
I just want to enjoy they game and I have not been able to do that because I really have not had much time to play.
It's been fun and I hope I can enjoy it even further in the next few months,

Is it too late to ask for stuff? I'm giving EvE another go before my subscription runs out. I used to just let my skills train and renew on the 3-month plan, hoping new content would renew my interest; I was betting on EvE having a bright future. Now, a little less so. I've gotta have my fun now, and an extra 100m would help with that!
Alas, I can think of no other sentiments at this point (because it popped into my head and the standard "You will be missed" seems cheesy since I don't know you), but that you shouldn't get a monocle because that would equate to MORE clothes on your character, which is not the direction most people would prefer.

I have enjoyed your company when you flew with redback. I do however think that you should do what I am doing. I will be unsubbing all but one to see how thing roll from the CSM meet. Easy enough to re-up now eh? I know how frustrating these issues are when it appears like none is listening. I AM listening to you and so are many others. Most folks seem to be a bit more into helping out rookie pilots and not treating us like n00bs. Well. Maybe not "most". But certainly enough. Random acts of generousity balance the random acts of violence, and both make the sandbox just that bit more interesting than "Kill 10 boars for a shiny new sword".
Thanks for bowing out with dignity, and leaving with a smile and gifts instead of rage and petulance.
('Course, if you happened to have a rifter BPO left in that hangar, it'd sure be appreciated by someone just starting out in FW and going to be losing them by the bucket load. Still working up the courage to take my first shot in anger.)

i have 14 days left, I've logged in 2 or 3 times since the patch, it's so depressing, will have to update the client again to log in and say my final goodbyes.
I'm kinda glad CCP made the decision for me though. Certainly makes it easy.

I never said i didn't like the character creator. In fact i like it. They did a good job with it. It's all that other stuff that got leaked out recently on top of the very lacking new content in EVE for a long time along with the major balancing issues that keeps getting ignored. It's very clear that CCPs priorities lies elsewhere than EVE.

Just because i give away isk doesn't mean i've given it all away. I still have 5B + tons of BPOs on my invention/manufacture alt to come back to if CCP change their ways in the coming years. But that's a big if. Both this account and alt account are not going to be renewed. Login screen is already moaning it's time to pay
Most of my wealth is probably in my assets. Got a few caps and tons of T2 ships/modules spread out all over EVE.

I might be doing the same eventually but for now I'll stick around until they announce (or it gets leaked) how deep SOE's involvement is in all of this sudden turnaround. 180 degree turnarounds always have a reason and SOE is legendary for having the touch of death to any MMO they touch.
