As Hilmar stated, CCP will pay attention to what the players DO, not what they say.
http://eve-offline.net/?server=tranquility
The numbers tell the story. PCU hit highest amount today since last week's Alliance Tournament.
People aren't ragequitting, they are simply threatening too.
As it should be. People need to calm down, relax, and wait for CCP to communicate, as well as to see what they DO, rather than what they've said.
Just a whole lotta rumourmongering and conspiracy floating about the forums.

Sigh
Clean out your ears
When people cancel their subscriptions, their accounts don't immediately go dead. That doesn't happen until their game time expires. Very few people had their accounts due to renew yesterday. Myself, mine won't be dead until July. In the meantime, people are raising hell. _____ This is one of the moments where we look at what CCP does and less of what they say. Innovation takes time to set in and the predictable reaction is always to resist change. |

If anyone is serious about ragequitting, then they aren't going to login to continue playing. They'll move on elsewhere.

I dont understand it either, I know people who cancel will still have days/weeks left but WHY ARE THEY STILL PLAYING THE GAME? If you want to make a real protest gtfo of the game, make an impact on that graph, that will get their attention.

If you already canceled, why won't you put up a laserboat to afk shoot the statue until time runs out?
Yes, more people are logging in afk and driving up server load, but they're not paying.

Rubbish. People aren't ragequitting because they don't like the game. They are unsubbing because of where they think CCP are going to take the game. They want to keep playing, and so will continue to make a noise until their subs run out.
I re-subbed on the last PLEX I had on my account to give away all my assets and cash and add my voice to the dissent. I am basically burning my whole account because I have no confidence in CCP and want to send a message that I won't be back. I would biomass but I don't want people stealing my name.
P.S. (shooting monuments in trade hubs is not "playing", it is protest).

Yes, because their servers are so fragile they can't handle it.
Pointless protest is pointless, especially if you think creating server load damages CCP in some way.

Yes, they do tell the story. PCU hit the standard Saturday peak, which is on the same level as last Saturday's peak, before the release of a new, long-awaited expansion, and they include a lot of people who just log in to riot.
For a post-expansion Saturday, those are appalling numbers.
Compared to what we saw at the Incursion launch, those numbers are some 5-10k short of where they should beà ùùù ôWe want to try this thing called micro-transactions, but we don't know what it is. Can anyone explainà aw screw it, let's just do it! What could go wrong?ö ù ÇÇP |

Not fanboi ... realism.
I am concerned about microtransactions and play-to-win. But all the rage is over rumour and conspiracy. Nothing that has been leaked is evidence of anything.
I'll wait with cool head to see how CCP eventually responds. I'm not going to ragequit over what are conspiracy theories, I'll wait to see what CCP actually does. Not what most of your fearmongers think they MIGHT do.

Because these bots and "thin clients" have increased proportionally today, than on any other day? CCP is spending human resources to "hide" the real PCU numbers?
More conspiracy. Jeez. Logic is out the window, I see. So many flights of pure fantasy today.

What ur doing is exactly what CCP is doing, hand-waving massive customer dissatisfaction/outrage at CCP and thinking that all this will just blow over soon. Maybe it will, maybe it won't but just cuz ur apparently fine with the direction CCP is going, don't downplay the concerns of thousands of other players who care about the game too.

Few thousand people spamming every trade hub in the game. Server numbers have not increased from a week ago after their BIGGEST EXPANSION IN HISTORY (or whatever nonsense they claimed). Flat numbers, even with the flood of protesters= not good news for EVE.

I care about the game. I'm just not going to get all up in a rage until I know where CCP is going. That's just the thing, no one knows where CCP is planning to go.
People have ideas, but nothing substantial with which to back up their vague notions.
I'll wait to see what happens. I'll reserve my rage for when it is justified.

The leaked CCP internal newsletter "Fearless" from Hilmer clearly states that they have plans for non-vanity MT items in the future, and will do it regardless of what the playerbase thinks about it. I don't have to say how gamebreaking this little venture is going to be, and the upper management simply DO NOT CARE. Don't believe me? See what their own employees are saying about them here http://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/CCP-Games-Reviews-E159347.htm
