CCP is going to announce that they have signed famous American politician Newt Gringrich as their NeX store spokesman.
Newt is a perfect choice as a NeX representative due to practical RL experiences with NeX like stores.

Tbh i wouldnt be surprised if they charge AUR/RL cash for us to read the bloody devblog. One final F-U for a lot of players.
Think about it MT ARE COMING TO EVE. If they have put in vanity MTs, then its only a small step to Non-vanity MTs, and its obvious that they are just trying to get the community to calm down, while they secretly try and roll out, golden drams, and AoE doomsdays on shuttles.
Tbh all this Devblog should say is: Zulu has resigned and Hilmar is in exile, but we all know what it will be. ALL Hail the MT GODS! .
Bloody Pathetic, Microtransactions will be the death of EVE mark my words CCP

I wish they would have another dev other than Zulu write a response. It was his arrogant prig of a blog that exacerbated this mess in the first place. I wasn't moved at all by the "barbies in space wearing platinum undies", as far as I am concerned CCP can charge whatever they want in their game for vanity items(if they ever release P2W I am gone).
However that pathetic excuse of a dev blog by Zulu and the subsequent release of Hilmar's e-mail are birds of a different feather. I wont pay to be spat upon.
Zulu: you should stay away from the keyboard for a while, and let one of your staff that currently has more credibility explain this mess.
Hilmar: you should take a look at glassdoor.com and see what your employees really think of your management style and direction. I read all of their reviews and was shocked.
Here is a taste: "CCP does not take criticism well and often ignores retrospectives. Criticism is considered to be a negative attitude and is severely frowned upon. A lot of effort goes into maintaining a good morale with a lot of internal PR. After all itÆs cheaper to print posters than pay an average salary to employees.
Several years now CCP has predicated insane subscriber goals that cannot be met. Naturally this is met with scepticism by the employees but it falls on deaf ears. The result is that the company is suffering because we cannot sustain the development of EVE, DUST and WOD. EVE is not creating enough revenue which means that solutions are sought, solutions that CCP was vehemently against a few years ago."

It's never too late for this sort of thing.
CCP needs to stem the bleed of subscriptions. If it continues they are in trouble. If it escalates they are in crisis.
1% in three days is very bad. That it seems to be continuing on pace is worse. Usually (trends observed in other games that 'failed' at one point or another) the subscription bleed begins to escalate when it becomes more and more apparent that the development company does not care about their customers or is going in totally the opposite direction of what their current customers want.
We shall see what they do.

Delusional because we think eve players are getting the rough end of a stick being shoved up our ****
maybe those who give there free time to develop tools we can use, who are now being asked to pay 99.00 or those who feel the devs have turned against eve and are going against the basic principle eve was founded on? or perhaps you mean those who dislike Mt's affecting actual game play. or perhaps those who feel ccp lied to the players, and deceived the csm's
thats alot of delusion, maybe your abit delusional?

I see a lot of people out their hoping that he comes out and promises that MT will never go beyond vanity.
And if he does? So what?
How many times has this guy lied to us? Insulted us? Disregarded us?
And even IF he actually does promise EXACTLY what you hope he will, you're going to believe him this time because...... because.... why exactly?
Because he is actually really, REALLY, telling the truth this time!! For honest and for true!
Please....
You can expect the blog to say ONE thing in many different forms: It will say, in no uncertain terms, whatever he thinks he has to say to keep subscriptions from walking out the door. Whatever he thinks all of the people who are thinking about quiting need to hear to not, in fact, quit, is EXACTLY what he will say. Nothing more. Nothing less. He will LIE as much as he thinks he has to..... AGAIN.
So, be excited about the blog if you want to. As for me? I am just mildly curious about what whopper(s) he is going to come up with this time to try and make a feeble attempt at explaining CCPs abysmal behavior.

I can't imagine this blog will be as bad as the last one. The last blog was condescending and side-stepped all the core issues. Although i think this next one will be more respectful, i'm somewhat worried all the real issues will be side-stepped once again.
Good luck Zulu, surprise us :) __________________________________________ Signature starts here |

Saying that it'll have 100% more love is also condescending and side-stepping the core issues, so don't get your hopes up just yet.

At this point why bother?
They're damned if they do and damned if they don't by their own hand. A guarantee is only as good as the company that writes it. CCP has showed itself as disconnected from reality and generally talking in circles, telling half-truths and outright lies.
They might as well write that blog on toilet paper because it'll be full of sh!t.

price on nex items is not a problem. there will be full outfits for just a plex worth of aurum, no doubt, just not directly since this would spike PLEX market. and we dont want that do we. one b isk for an item to get your avatar cool is not a problem. if it is to you, maybe you need to grind some to get to look successfull in eve? if i ever get bored of my one b isk item, ill just sell it for near same value and have my isk back. meanwhile, the ones who cant bite down and grind will rage about how unfair the price is. i dont know, but i feel succesfull compared to the shrimps hearing it like that.

I suspect that the delay in CCP's response is that they just don't have one. It has become self evident in the last 2 days that a significant modification has been made to CCP's core business plan. Their new revenue model is based on sub+rmt. This appears to have been planned for some time. Thus it is not unreasonable to believe that expenditures have been made or planned that incorporate these new revenues. There is no way that in 48 hours they can begin to calculate a way out of this mess. If perhaps they've spent or contracted a million dollars for equipment and services related to Incarna they're passed the point of no return. A legitimate response wont be forth coming any time soon because it will take the finance dept and the accountants significantly longer than that to evaluate the impact of a dead on arrival expansion and the damage control necessary to amortize any uncured cost.
The best we can expect any time soon is a smoke screen to attempt to placate the many angry subscribers who feel deeply offended by the continued sub par customer service we are given.
Well I was wrong about the last part because instead we got - http://www.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=932 Perhaps CCP's first ever Dev troll blog.
Which causes me to ask: If we get a response Monday = They worked through the weekend to address the multitude of player grievances which have been raised and tried to develop solutions to them. ( A Monday response might also mean that alot of people are not bluffing in the cancel sub threads. This could be quite telling ) Or, if we only get a response Tuesday = maybe they didn't bother doing anything on the weekend. They keep hoping this will blow over or that it's not so very important as to interrupt their schedules. Wednesday = this is really not a priority and we're quite convinced that we can out last you.
If it takes past Thursday to get a 'Genuine' 'Substantive ' response there's no telling how bad this could get.
