So the scheduled mass log out from 12pm today to DT tomorrow has failed, the logout inspired by whiners everywhere had a lot of support and much like the 'im leaving EVE' thread it got a lot of +1, some even said they deleted EVE however if you compare this weeks stats with last weeks, things dont really look different.
Based on this we are led to believe that they are only a few people emo over this MT drama or the more obvious scenario that players are all mouth and no action (no surprise there)
Honestly if you cant even mass logout for a day, how are we or CCP suppose to believe you have quit the game
Looks like CCP won this battle .

Try going to Jita.
Im in Jita, I am also in the MASS-PROTEUS channel, hardly an example on how this 'protest' is making a difference, Jita has more people in it now than it did a week ago.
Oh and being online in Jita means you are logged in, not logged out! :P .

So you mean the guys who quit, to show that they have quit and to show CCP they are not playing anymore have decided the best way to show this is to log in and shoot a structure?

It brought media coverage. What more do you want?
Actually the media coverage was inaccurate a made it look like players had the option to destroy anything in EVE, a hilarious back fire which probably brought in more subs because "woah, finally a game where players can do things as a group in huge numbers and kill major buildings".
On the WoW forums it was even complimented, there is a thread on even encouraging people to quit WoW and play EVE.
Protest more girls, it only makes the game more popular .

Originally by: Dark Kano The mass logout crap is from the anti protest guys trying to get a normal jita back. Why would we logout to help people who do not care about the direction of the game?
I know comparing EVE to RL is dumb but typically a strike on something usually involves not playing, right now it seems more people are playing .

Quote: [..]CCP released the expansion Incarna, which they have been developing for many years now, now for the first time players will be able to leave their spaceship and experience life out of a pod.
The expansion has received some criticism where a lot of players are hugely concerned about micro transactions, CCP has made it possible to buy clothing for real life cash where a single optional item could cost ú40. This has resulted in a huge influx of players destroying various NPC stations, players have formed large groups some greater than 1500 pilots with intent on destroying stations and local habitat.
Below are some screenshots that have been sent to us where you can see the mass amounts of players focusing on combat as a way of getting the message across.[..]
These protests are epic .
