Have you not been reading what media sites have reported this turmoil as, they made it sound like players can form 1500+ fleets and kill anything they want, they made it sound like empire was 0.0
They also said it was over monocles and most people didnt seem bothered by MT for vanity items .

I hope so. "major guilds" stand no chance against my "Established Corporation".
Also, the numbers that I pull out of my ass are MUCH MORE ACCURATE than yours. . Adapt and overcome or become a monkey on an evolution poster.

yes for every 10 people that quit a new one joins plays for a month then loses thier battleship in lowsec then quits. sorry that you think your smart but proved your a moron. eve has had a steady subscription increase since it first came out, by no means is it breaking any records. when 5000 people just quit within a 2 week period it will create large economic shift both in and out of game.

Not everybody has accounts on every random site. Also, it was liked 100+ times and tweeted 40+ by the looks of it, so yes, people are actually reading it. Now, your undeniable sources, please?

Having a bunch of wow-fanboys and god knows what else join up sounds pretty detrimental to me, the cultures are so different that it can only be bad. Course, they'll see that they can't level cap in a month and then they'll all **** off, so it really doesn't matter.
Paraphrased from Top Gear: Imagine if you saw the entire French Air Force crash into a fireworks factory, that's the laugh that CCP gives us every time they do anything. |

Shoot me some e-mail adresses, I'll send buddy invites.
And that Eve-offline graph is pretty telling, tbfh. Every six months at the launch of an expansion the graph shows a heavy upward spike. In other words, people who have lost interest come back to check out the new features and people who have never played jump in with the wave of hype that invariably comes with the expansion. Then when the expansion loses that new-car-smell, the activity levels fall back to a normal level.
Except this time. Look at the graph, almost no spike at all. Very surprising considering CCP finally launched the walk-in-stations feature that so many have been waiting for. That means all the curious returnees and the new subs are being more or less balanced out by the people who stopped logging in because they dislike either the new features or the way the game is being managed. What happens when the CQ loses its luster? What happens when all the curious returnees and the new subs who aren't cut out for Eve lose interest and fade away again? Will that downward dip that has followed every expansion be balanced out by bittervets who quit in protest returning to the game they love? Only time will tell. One thing is for certain. No upward spike at the time of a big expansion is a bad sign.

Would be interesting if so.. All of my friends who play wow cringe when I mention Eve... Usually asking "Isn't that the game where you are like, allowed to scam, and steal from guilds?"
Yes they usually say guilds and I have to correct them.

Look at all those people who quit not signing on http://eve-offline.net/?server=tranquility
considering that this was the weekend after an expansion release, it was actually quite poor.
compare this weekend with the Incursions release on january.
said drop is quite visible on the "all time" graph. ---

Comments are disabled on page 1. Page 2 currently has 146 comments, making it the second most commented-on recent post on Massively. EDIT: Beaten to it. But yeah, I would love to see some actual evidence for this thread and the assertion that thousands of players are signing up. You must have gotten the information from SOMEWHERE, so where?

quote a source or gtfo. I don't for a second believe it. WoW and Eve are two completely different games, and I just can not forsee that many WoW players actually wanting to play EvE. Eve has the largest learning curve of any game on the market, it takes a special breed to play and enjoy EvE.
