Instead of developing eve further i would rather CCP fix the bugs there are, this would increase their profits without MT's.

First of all, No. Second of all, Hells to the No. Thirdly, no it wouldn't increase their profits by any significant margin.
Hell, this weekends turmoil of 5k unsubbed accounts _still_ probably provided enough publicity to added more than 5k new accounts. Which is more than 'fixing' bugs instead of adding new features would add.
They've been fixing bugs all along, but with a game this size there are probably thousands upon thousands of bugs and issues that would take years to fix. The best and only viable choice to make is the one they have already made and that's to do both at the same time. You may argue they should focus more on bugs and you _may_ have a point, if you choose to argue more than 'dude ccp stop with the crap xpacs plzkthx'. In the long run if they go too long without adding content and features it is guaranteed they will lose subs.
Here's a fundamental law of MMOs you and everyone else needs to learn. It's almost all about momentum, as soon as you lose it, no amount of new content will gain you more subscribers than you use due to attrition. Some of the best xpacs for EQ happend long after it started its downward trend. But it's never gotten back its glory and it never will.
If EVE pauses for even a moment too long, its over.

What development? They just seem to be regressing and making the game worse.

They already have, obviously that period of 18 months was to cut costs in the short term.
Now it seems CCP run the risk of running out of cash around October.
The Plex > Aurum move just seems to be trying to increase Plex sales in the short term, without honouring game time to get a quick injection of cash.
It has nothing to do with "changing the gaming world."

Yeah, you seem to really not be joking. 1. Eve's not the killer expense here, and it's not the focus of development. CCP need to get WoD and DUST out as quickly as possible, and at least one of them needs to not flop.
2. Fixing bugs doesn't make money. Having cool new features that pull people in and get them to subscribe is what makes money.
3. You see some bugs and limited features, and call the release "****". It's not. For all the annoyances people are having with it, it's actually not a particularly horrible release. CQ is limited, and a bit rushed, but that's because CCP desperately needed to get the NeX store in. There are big changes, particularly with Dogma being redone, and there are some bugs in there. If you have a Shader Model 2.0-level card and are expecting to play modern games, you're deluded. The software side of Incarna isn't "****". The thing that's wrong with the current release is the internal direction, and the lack of any effective communication.

Keep in mind that WE are the ones funding development of World Of Dogs and Dust. You don't think they'd spend their own money on two gambles like those, do you?

Better off scarping Dust and WoD for the moment at focus solely on EVE.
