Also noted for the many excellent helpful posts.

I'm not quite sure that selflessness means what you think it does. It is very overrated. Even monstrous, I'd argue.
Anyway, you're all a bit late. He sold his service months and months ago to the highest bidder.

I posted in another thread the idea of "retiring" certain toons that have been pillars of the EVE community like Estel has been?

1. I'm well aware he sold the service.
2. I don't care what he does with the ISK.
3. What I'm paying tribute to is an IDEA that Estel Arador, the PLAYER, brought with him into the game. He found a creative solution that benefited all who cared to put in an app to his corp.
EVE needs more creativity, more originality, more opportunities to think outside of the box. This game is advertised as a "sandbox." But its not. If all you can do is play soldier or supplier to soldiers, you're not really free to play in the sandbox. He was one of the few (like the original ISS guys) to step outside the boundaries CCP setup to form the "Thunderdome" of EVE. That makes him one of the few to actively resist CCP's attempts to force people to play their way. THAT is why I'm honoring him.
If all of you involved in the current silliness really wanted to do something, you'd take the toys in the sandbox and try playing a different way. EVE is boring. EVE is infinite preparation and dedication for minutes of exhiliration. EVE simply asks too much work for too little fun gameplay reward (and I'm not talking ISK. ISK is illusory. There is no cake). But the silly people are no different than CCP in this regard. They're just coming at it from a different angle; they want everyone to play THEIR way.
