NoTalent	Posted - 2005.02.21 13:08:00 - [1] Hi I'm getting soo much stick for this, quite fairly IMHO that I thought I would post it here. I'm still in therapy, should be ok in a week or so. I'm part of a new corp, mostly new folk, and on our first serious mining op, only a 0.6 system, but you gotta start somewhere, I was running a Thrasher on anti-npc duty. A few nomads etc showed up, gave them a beating, so after a bit of a wait, I warped off to another belt to go rat hunting, with the promise "...I'll sort things out if any rats appear... So, about 10 mins later, "NT, where the hell are you" asks the indy pilot. "omw" confident I could rescue our helpless miners from those nasty NPC types I warp in and i think there was a few rogues, maybe 2 nomads, the chaps are holding their own, so I take out the nomads, and notice we are down to one rogue... I lock on, and let rip with my 5 280mm howies and light missle. In retrospect, I should have noticed as the first shot was fired, the Rogues Shields did not go down, next thing, out indy is dead. You can work out the rest.... from Corp chat: NoTalent > wtf i killed ado? Adoran > the bloody Angels that's who! NoTalent > iv an email from conc says i did it ----------------------------------------------- Not really my finest moment, I was mortified for about a day. Another odd thing, my sec rating went up from 0.0 to 0.1 I like to think I won't do this again for at least a fortnight. cheers NT

NoTalent	Posted - 2005.02.22 12:38:00 - [19] Hi there, maybe I should have added I've only been playing 6 weeks or so, and while trying to balance mortage repayments/young kids/wife tougher than me I don't get to play that often. So ty for clearing up the security rating issue, as prior to this I had killed god-knows-how-many rats and my security rating was still 0.0 It happened to increase when I killed my corp mate, so maybe you can understand my confusion for thinking it was his death that raised it to 0.1 My corp mates have been good about the whole thing, though none us of have much more than 8 weeks experience, which is the reason we were mining, to put a few isk in the Corp wallet towards decent ships/skills/mods etc. Ee didn't think there was much point in racing off to 0.0 in a T1 destroyer and 800,000 skill points. cheers NT ps Zeepo, if you have something to trade I might have a spare civilian sheild booster

On my second ever trip with the corp out to 0.0 we happened across a KOS ship at a gate. Or what I thought was KOS. We harangued about attacking it on TS for a few seconds, and I lock the guy. Or thought I did. One Corp member had a name that was different by only 1 letter, so guess who my dumb ass locks... I fire off a salvo from my Kessie at the Rifter in my sights. Only once my shots started impacting did TS light up like a bad idea in Congress. Luckily I did not have the launchers on auto-repeat so the first salvo was all he got. And it happened to be the CEO of the corp flying that Rifter I just put into armour, too. And I was a 2-week nuub corp member at the time... what a way to impress the Leadership.
