With ALL the protests and emotions that are going on I think that one very large factor has been missed.
I play this game because I like it. I love the player driven markets, the player invlovement on virtually every level of the game. The way this NEX market seems almost ducktaped on but I find that analogy a bit insulting to my matari brethren. NEX does not "feel" like eve. There is no invention, no construction, no mining, no research, no development, no interaction. Make the items be blueprints or something . . .
ON top of ALL of this there is NO LOSS!
If you are wearing something it must DIE WITH THE POD. If you buy furniture for your CQ it must be moveable so that u then can be GANKED. If you buy paint for your ship it is DESTROYED with the ship.
ALL NEX ITEMS MUST BE DESTORYABLE! 
This is EVE and the FACT that EVERYTHING u buy CAN BE DESTROYED it is one of the GREATEST things in the game.
This can be a counterpoint to CCP comming down on price level of the NEX, because if the items are cheaper but destroyable then people with have a reason to buy the same item multiple times.

Nope, this is a distraction. (I don't think you're a dev alt, but your impression is spot-on.)

Edited by: Adunh Slavy on 28/06/2011 04:46:58 At first, vanity items would die with a pod, but they changed it last minute. Likely because it had been pointed out that most people would have to waste time taking all that stuff off instead of risk it. This depreciates the value of that fluff.
Also, if it can be destroyed, word gets around that you're just going to loose it unless you do the annoying step of taking it all off. This would be a negative for sales of fluff.
Also, if it becomes such a hassle, no one will put it on to walk around in stations, if and when that ever comes around - so no free advertising of 'individualism' via the purchase clothing everyone else can access ... (yeah you read that right.)
So vanity gets free immunity for no other reason than to increase sales.
Just wait till it's Japanese boutique space guns.
My faith in CCP will return SoonÖ We'll watch what you do not what you say.

Yea, this is really going against what they stated at Fanfest: They talk about how they are discussing the destructibility of items... and I guess this thought was lost in committee.

Ok. EVE-styled NeX stuff ;)
- NeX enhanced SP progression rates are only active while the addict is in lowsec, undocked & uncloaked.
- Popped in your NeX BS? -2 to the specific BS skill(s), but only -1 if it also had an expensive paintjob.
- Podded with a monocle in your ugly face? Negative hits on your base stats for a week & a mandatory character customization awaits.
- Worn NeX items are indeed very impressive and give extra style points on pod killmails.
- NeX ammo perks do not activate as long as you're in a fleet.
- Fitting a local NeX-repper makes you immune to any remote repping.
- NeX remote reppers malfunction a lot in highsec.
- NeX salvage = best salvage + part AUR.
Etc.
