Hi all,
I've been on holiday while Incarna was rolled out and this meant that I was only able to try it out last night for the first time.
After seeing the pretty vitriolic response on the forum, I'd prepared myself for the worst...
but you know what? I'm actually pretty impressed.
Of course, I don't see the point in a monocle that only a billionaire can buy, nor do I agree in any way with paying to win; I think that enough has already been said in relation to this topic.
On my PC at least, it runs pretty much as fast as the previous dock/undock process, it looks great, my character doesn't look as laughable as I thought he would and the new hangar view is rather sweet (even if I've only seen my little Taranis in there due to being stranded away from my collection of bigger ships!)
There are some really neat touches, and it's got me excited in anticipation of what the full walking-in-station experience will be.
It does seem that Incarna has meant that Eve takes up a fair 'ole chunk of my PC resources, far more than the last build did, but I'm able to handle this (my friend now thinks that he's unable to dual client any more on his PC, which is a shame).
So thanks CCP, for some interesting content, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the whole WIS thing works out.

Yes, that¦s almost the biggest tragedy in all this.
It is nice, for a while, if it wouldn¦t have been made mandatory so that the old hangar had to be scrapped.
Just one fricken "enter CQ" button in that old hangar view and most of the rage would¦ve been averted.

Well, since you all love the Door, go ahead and use it.
I agree with the OP but the CQ is laggy and resource hungry, camera control as well as character control needs to be better along with a few other things. Overall I like the whole concept.

Edited by: Heathyy on 28/06/2011 16:01:42 Edited by: Heathyy on 28/06/2011 15:59:18 its not that great, my 3.0ghz 4gb ram 1gb vram, choaked when i logged both my chars in, having a station with more than 30 10 ppl in it would be 1 frame per week. if 2 chars is anything to go by.
2nd edit to avoid sounding un-grateful. it looks nice but its not exactly optimized for MULTIBOXING

Edited by: Markus Jome on 28/06/2011 16:03:43 Well, the CQ is a nice gimmik, its just a shame that so much energy was put into so little, and with so unnessecary side-effects.

Check the temperature of your computer while you run CQ and while you aren't running EVE. That's become one of the biggest issues, is that it's putting your system under that much stress. In a perfect world, that wouldn't matter until you hit the Blue Screen of Death, but in our imperfect world, any imperfections in the video card can lead to its destruction and an expensive replacement when under that kind of stress, whereas under less stressed usage, you'd use that card for years and years.
