People SERIOUSLY think that 0.01% = 1.0%. What is the world coming to? It's not even just one person.. it's the entire thread!

Originally by: Siigari Yes, one hundredth of a percent. That means you'd need 1000 AP to get 1 extra percent.

When multiplying by 0.01 however you do get 1% which is where 0.01 being 1% comes from. All you need to create a storm is add a percentage to the 0.01

I don't see anybody making that claim and the wording looks correct to me. x% + y% = (x+y)% # x% + y

so you're saying that 0.00001 is equal to 0.01. ---

I've said what I'm saying. What exactly would you like me to rephrase? If it's true what the players say, namely that your damage or whatever increases by 7% at 100 AP, with a base increase of 6% + 1% for each 100 AP, then the wording is correct.

people on the Lol forums are terrible at math.
Not all of them have an advanced degree in Spreadsheets Online.
Oh yeah, and most of them are 12.

So wait. Going back now you guys are making me feel as if I was indeed correct.
Is 0.01% per 1 ability power going to wind up in 1% AP per 100 AP?

The first post is hidden due to down votes. If you set to view it he's just correcting a wiki that put up '0.01%' for a skill with a '0.01' AP ratio meaning it gets... 1% of your AP stat. If you look at his link none of the other ratio's have a '%' sign.
It's just a person being anal about a type-o.

the wiki is saying that for each 100 ap, you get 1%.
5%+.01% ap is more 5+(.01*ap)%

Uh guys....
While 0.01% != 1% but 0.01 == 1%
Similarly .25 == 25% 1.0 == 100% etc
but .25% != 25% 1.0% != 100% and further more why do i even need a sig? |

No. The wiki obviously says you get a 0.01 AP ratio converted into a % of the enemy's max HP. It just has a type-o or is poorly written. If it said '0.01mv' you would not expect 1% of your AP to come through the computer with the strength of a lightning bolt and electrocute your opponent player at their computer. You would just see a funny type-o. Looking over all the other skills (or playing Kog Maw once) will make this painfully obvious.

If the bonus is 7% at 100 AP and 6% base then the wording is correct. The only typo might be that there is no percent sign at the values before 6%

im not quite sure what youre trying to get at at the end there..
The wiki states this for kog: Max Health to Damage Ratio: 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6% (+0.01% per ability power) Im not really sure how its possible to mess this up, as long as you realize the percent is of the opponents hp, and not of your ap.
For the record, i kinda have put a few hours into LoL myself.
