Given the amount of thread currently given to the topic of microtransactions in regards to Skillpoints, Ships and Guns. I figured I would put forward my idea for consideration.
Suppose I best start with a few basic rules.
- The account of the charachter must be at least 12 months old to purchase skill points. - Skill points much like Neural Re-Maps can only be purchased once every 12 months.
Here is what I was thinking.
After 12 months you are allowed to purchase skill points for a charachter on that account once, and then every 12 months you are allowed to do the same.
Obviously the amount has to be restricted, otherwise people would be saving up money through the year and just spending silly on lots of Skillpoints.
This is the basic.
In the 12 months between the account creation or the last SP buy and this one you train skills.
Say for example you train 20,000,000 SP
Upon purchasing skillpoints you can purchase a maximum of 25% of your 12 Month total accounts xp in unallocated SP to be used on any charachter on that account. There has to be a minimum of 4,000,000 SP trained on the account during the year and the minimum purchase is 1,000,000 for 1 Plex.
So after 1 year of having a trained active account you have the oppertunity to purchase a "bonus" 25% xp on top of what you have trained for been a loyal customer.
I think this would help the game personally but not make it so that only the rich kids get to do it. Since you know roughly what you train you have 12 months to just make little savings here and there to purchase 2-3 Plex after 12 months and add SP to your charachter.
Just my thoughts, feel free to discuss/rip apart but if your going to completly disagree at least make a compelling argument.

Why don't you try to discuss the problem instead of swearing and trolling, its players like you that provide no input and they cry when its not how you want it to be. King of all things Biscuit |

Discuss the... "problem"? What problem? The problem of people repeatedly posting new threads for their ill-considered notions when so many threads for the same subject - most of them obvious troll threads because the idea is patently idiotic - already exist, you mean?

Your entitled to an opinion just like anybody else but fortunately for us, you don't speak for the majority of people that play this game so keep that in mind. Though I don't fully support the idea myself, it's refreshing to see people posting these kinds of threads without much fear of reprisal from the usual forum c*ckblocker squad.

I'm pretty sure that, regardless of the acceptability of the idea, repeatedly posting new threads for the same idea is idiotic.

Sorry if I have offended or not, but you do have a right to your opinion. As far as I can see right now in this forum section there is only 1 other topic regarding skillpoint purchase active where the op doesnt really give an view in what he thinks it should be and its just 4 pages of arguing rather then debate and adaption of an idea. I was hoping this thread would not become that one, but unfortunatly peoples tendancy to troll rather then debate makes that a bit difficult. King of all things Biscuit |

How I Feel: Why should this suddenly be implemented?
I can understand maybe a little bump to newly made characters to lessen the amazingly huge skill gap between them and the majority of the population, but since this proposal suggests you have to wait a year before you can make the first purchase, this really doesn't help newbies. In fact, it would make the hole even deeper, as they would be forced to spend cash IRL to keep up with experienced players who have established large ISK incomes to buy plex with if they want.
In short, I'm having trouble understanding the motivation behind this other than "because we can" and "so I don't have to wait like everyone else did." Sure I can see CCP's motivation ($$$), but if the only motivation for players is one of the ones I stated above, then I really can't get on board.

My idea was to reward those that have an active subscription, perhaps allow a initial purchase of 2M or 4M SP and reduce the timer to 6 months or 8 months, due to either wayy you should be getting roughly the same SP as if it were a 12 month wait.
