Hey! What would be the best and fastest mission ship, if i would like to do level 3 - 4 missions? I have great Missile skills, Caldari V, Minmatar and Cal frigate V, Inteceptors skills and stealth bomber :) I can fly a drake to, but they are so boring....
Please dont go off topic thanks :)

That's the best ship for Level 3's.

That's why I don't fly one.

(no seriously, the rokh is terrible for missions, don't even try it)
I started Caldari, and for me, the best and fastest Caldari mission ship was the apocalypse
Barring that, the raven is, uh, passable. Far better than the other two BSes, at least. You can move on to the CNR or Navy Scorp from there, which are decent, and eventually crosstrain and get a real ship like the rattlesnake or nightmare (and their non-pirate equivalents, the dominix and apoc/abaddon).
The drake is fantastic as long as you can stand it though. The raven really isn't something you want to hop into with low skills, and the drake can do most level 4s, albeit slowly.

Edited by: Maduin Ardens on 28/06/2011 17:26:36 Golem won't cover all L4s, if you want something that is par for the course for any L4 including travel times and fun factor, you will want to go with a Tengu.
I hear CNR is equally good if not better than a Tengu for a few marginal reasons here and there, including preference for maximizing utility as opposed to the Tengu which basically has only two fits (painters or rigors/flares), but I just do not prefer it personally. I do not do L4s for money anymore per se, I do them because I am bored, so the last thing I wanna do is have it be a bunch of work to pulse a shield booster or use target painters, or swap out ammo constantly in a Golem, or slowboat for five minutes to get in range of some stray battleship in a pocket with a mind of its own.
If you are asking best and fastest in terms of throughput, I would say a CNR is probably slightly faster than a Tengu for all L4s if you are NOT blitzing the missions.
If you are blitzing, the Tengu will obviously out pace a CNR in terms of mission pockets with fly-by requirements.
A Golem will be faster than both in missions like L4s Damsel, WCs (after the first pocket tho), and the two Pirate Invasions, etc. but only if you have it lying around for when those types of missions come your way.

I love the Scorpion Navy Issue over any other caldari ship. as it can tank like a beest with very little added. not a fan of the CNR as i see to many of them on the killboards lost to npcs lol.

Tengu for level 3s and 4s.
Tengu for blitzing level 4s.
CNR if you absolutely must shoot everything in the mission.
CNR if you're in Amarr space. The Tengu doesn't do as well against EM weak targets, but if you're blitzing only, the Tengu might be a better choice. Someone else will have to speak to that.
Tengu if you're lazy and like cap-stable fits with the shield perma-boosted and the AB on.
CNR if you have a fetish involving spikes.
CNR if you want a relatively cheap setup.
CNR if you're worried about getting suicide ganked in a Tengu.
Tengu for low-sec missions.
CNR if you're wearing a monocle. However, a cloaked Tengu could be an option also.

This is a very good point in the "best mission ship" debate. With a Tengu you can be semi-afk without ever worrying about cap or tank, and is very nice for lazy mission runners such as myself. But if you're gung-ho on maximizing ISK/hour you want a Golem in addition to the Tengu and/or Nighthawk. In BS heavy missions the Golem is an absolute beast, with nasty DPS and you can alternate between damage types.
I will say this though, I actually regret training for a Golem, because multiple conditions needs to be met for the Golem to have a substantial advantage over a Tengu, and I don't run a lot of missions, so the training time simply wasn't worth it for me. Hindsight is always 20-20. Take this into consideration when deciding what mission ship to go for, although AWU V isn't a bad thing rgardless.
Remember not to overtank and fit lots and lots of target painters!
