Who I am
Some of you may know me, but I'm sure that many of you do not. I have been around the MD forums on and off, mainly due to RL changes. However as I have been finding more time for EVE, I am wanting to expand my horizons, enlarge my business, and "get my name out there" to investors and onlookers of the MD. I have done 2 audits in the past for the MD, both of which can be found via search, and the google docs for these audits are still up. This is my first public bond, and hopefully not the last!
Bond Overview
The purpose of this bond is two-fold. I am both looking to increase the production capabilities of my business (T1 production, up to battleship in size), as well as get my name out there to a broader populace. The bond will be short term of 1 month, last payment returning initial principle and 8% 30 days after the start of the bond. The bond will start 1 day after all funds are received from investors.
Bond Terms
- Minimum Investment Of 50m
- Maximum Investment Of 200m
- Interest 8%
- 1 Month Bond Term
- Please Avoid Alts, I want to reach as many unique investors as possible.
Collateral
No collateral will be offered.
Investing
To invest, send ISK to "Calypsa Aeurelieus" with reason "RTIDE Bond 1" . I will take reservations on this thread, and will update this post when your investment ISK is received.

It had been closed due to inactivity. I have as I said been on and off in MD. I had to take a hiatus from EVE a few months ago due to becoming engaged and moving in with the fiance. I returned to EVE around a month ago and will be playing now that things have settled down RL. I had no problem bringing up my name in the search box to the upper right.

2) My NAV (Including Corporate Assets) is approx 800-850m in liquid ISK, approx 1b in BPO's/BPC's, and approx 600m in ships.
3) The only alt I have is Patrokolus, whom I use to do investments with (Not much lately) This char has approx 600m in liquid ISK.
Plain and simple I don't **need** this bond, but I'm doing it to begin to build a relationship with MD investors. Let me know if you wish to proceed with the investment or not.

I guess EVEsearch does not pick on 90 day olds? Anyhow anything left to try you out?
I might consider 1 bill, though MD folks will be grumpy if you expand it :P

There's currently 100m left open if you'd like to jump in.
I'm not going above 1 bil on this bond. 1 bil, finish this bond, then we'll worry about the next bond. I'm not the type who likes to jump from 1 to 10 to 30. I like to gradually increase, much safer for you guys and myself. I'd rather know I can handle 20b before I ask for it.

Hi,
Im sorry to say that i must withdraw my reservation.
Had a look at your character sheet & your only capable of 4 production slots, with industry at level 3 your also 8% slower than most. If you had planned to get the minerals via market, your also overpaying somewhat with no way near perfect trade skills. Given the slim slim margins on T1 products, only 4 production slots, taxes on sales & purchases, PE 4 etc.
Also a little concerned your 2009 character only has 5m SP.

Not a problem and I understand. I already have under market price contracts arranged for my minerals. The lack of skillpoints is due to 2 breaks I've had to take from EVE, one Military related, the other moving in with fiance. Anyways, thanks for taking a look!

The only thing i can suggest to you is the possibly of only manufacturing products that use highsec minerals only, & mining them yourself.
This will cutout the need for market orders for minerals (as long as you factor in the cost of minerals not being free, see breaker77 signature.)

calypsa this is a red flag for your future reference. the whole playing as though you don't "need" the isk and is only doing it to grind rep. (ofc EVERYONE does it but be less blatant about it being such, otherwise people'll keep going on and on about red flag this and red flag that like what i'm doing now)

Why are you training this when you have less than perfect manufacturing skills & trade skills, & are running a manufacturing bond. would it not be prudent to skill up in these areas?

Although I value your input I don't necessarily agree that I have to have a perfect set of manufacturing skills to turn a profit. I am, as I said, turning plenty of profit. I am finishing out my L4 skills for while the jobs are in the cookers, then I am going to proceed onwards with my industry training. As you see since the bond started I did finish PE V, and will now begin to improve other aspects of industry.
EDIT: After finishing this bond I will know how much I can make with my current skill set, and therefore will have a baseline to work up from, and as long as I can stay savvy, I should be able to maintain that much profit margin, and with larger amounts, as my skills increase.
TLDR: I understand my skills aren't perfect, training L4 skills, still making profit.

So what your saying is, that instead of training mass production 4 then 5 & making the maximum amount for yourself with the bond money (gaining 1 extra slot = (25% more turnover than current)) , your happy to train skills for missions?

What I'm saying, is that I play EVE to enjoy playing EVE. I enjoy missioning as well as production. This means that I'm not always trying to make myself the absolute most isk/hour that I can. Some people play like that, I don't. As long as I make my investors their interest, and make some for myself, I am happy.
People's productivity and longevity in most activities requires a certain level of morale. This means you have to have a bit of fun here or there.
I am not going to debate why I'm doing it, I will agree that I could be more efficient / quicker by training your suggested skill, but I don't see anything wrong with not training it immediately, as long as I meet my investment requirements.

Bumping for weekly update. Sorry it's coming in on Friday and not Thursday, had a server go down at work and it's been a bit chaotic. Happy to announce that everything is still going well, and that I will be upping the payment to 9.5%, and may raise further if profits continue to mount (I like to spread the joy of success :) ). Thanks for trying to look out for me Strrog, however you originally invested 300m (Which was over the max buy in), and another investor stepped up for 100m so you had 200m left in the investment, and therefore should have received 222m :) ) Sent you back the 111.
