AHHHHHHH CAPSLOCK ENGAGE!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously though, how about you stop worrying about the broken BS with CQ and fix other more pertinent issues... like fixing the bug where a ship will not stop under any circumstances outside of relogging? Or how about the hictor bubbles IN JITA! Jesus you break more of the game with every patch than you actually manage to fix. |

As they said at fanfest... 50% bug squashing, 50% expansion.
Only problem is with every expansion we get 100% more bugs...

They are fixing the issues, as I type this in fact. More issues will be fixed as they are uncovered and/or a solution is found, as always.
Everyone wants the issues fixed, and then when they get fixed everyone cries and complains about having to download the patch that fixes them.
I guess I just don't understand the problem?
Edit: fixed grammar.

The issue is, these were never issues BEFORE. This means they employed people to touch the code who didn't know wtf they were doing. Not to mention these bugs are bugs fundamental to the game play. Such as being able to stop your ship, or maybe I don't know, not being able to cyno your titan into high sec. |

No, they weren't issues before. A programmer must change code to update the game (obvious of course). When code is changed, unintended things can and almost always do happen (again, obvious). In a game like Eve, there is only so much play testing that can be done because the only way to fully test it is to put it on the live server with all the players, and at that point it is, of course, live (still obvious).
I still don't understand the problem. This will all be worked out. Relax a little.

Sorry but this is so short sighted. players=customers and they are not mad. They have valid complaints and it would be best to address them as such
Issue of today kinda shows, seems so basic to me:
Following the release of Incarna 1.0.1 we have discovered an issue with the markets not loading correctly in some regions. We have a fix in place for this issue which will require a short downtime on Tranquility. The servers will go offline at 16:40 UTC and we expect to be online again at 17:00 UTC.

Yea, so what? There are problems with the game. The bugs will get fixed, and the "features" that people don't like will either make them leave or they won't. I still don't see the problem, but then again Eve is just a game to me and I don't really have any emotional investment in it. I will play until I don't want to, and then I will not play. The end.

The fact that you have not addressed the original comments about basic bugs which only became a problem with incarna says that you are not interested in actually getting them fixed. Furthermore, you are only interested in feeding off the bull*hit ccp feeds you. Congrats, you have become a mindless cow. Go you. |

I'm glad I could brighten someone's day. I am not in the entertainment business, and in fact generally only seek to entertain myself. I am actually a *yikes!* Engineer.
Originally by: Sellendis What i dont get, is how they manage to screw up one thing, when they do any fixes about it. Like drones not getting skill bonuses, or salvagers getting tractor bonuses.
I don't really get it either (not a programmer), but the way I understand it is that in addition to the "features" added in Incarna, there was a massive overhaul of the basic architecture of the code. CCP is making Python do things that it was never imagined that Python could do (or at least that's how I read the devblogs technical mumbo jumbo).

I DID address the original comments, when I said that the bugs ARE being fixed. And they are, as evidenced by the two client updates prior to today, and then one bigger update during downtime today, and now probably another client hotfix after this unscheduled downtime. And I'm sure that even more bugs will be fixed as soon as possible, so I still don't see your problem. Maybe your problems are all in your head?... . .

1) ya it is pretty true...see how they fixed stuff today with 1.0.1? and what is this thread about again?... 2) @ OP they did fix the hictor bubble in jita it was a graphic effect: While using a Focused Warp Disruption script in a Warp Disruption Field Generator I a bubble-effect was sometimes shown for other pilots. This is no longer occurs. 3) Based on the link that has been going around about the employee reviews on CCP, the programmers don't know what they're doing not because they are incompetent but because the code lacks serious documentation. Management has been telling them to skip swaying it is "a waste of time" but then ended up wasting more time trying to teach the new guys stuff from scratch.

They have a fix. Just relog every time you change ships. And wait 30 seconds for the timer. And 30 more seconds for the timer of the timer timer. Timer.
A year from now you might actually get to shoot something.
As for Xixa, you're either an epic troll or just wicked ignorant. Whenever they *update* the game they break it. That's what this thread is about. And FYI they have a way to mass test their server; it's called Sisi, and they often implement bugs that are reported on Sisi anyways (backwards T3s, anyone?).
They introduce bugs that have nothing to do with the new content. Why the **** would hics suddenly be able to toss up bubbles in high sec? That has NOTHING to do with anything added in Incarna. Got an answer for that, Xixa?

No, make me **** for brains.
To change code, you must change code. Anyone knows that, not just programmers. When you make changes, things change. Everyone knows that also. On top of that, the devblog had in-depth technical speak about GIGANTIC changes. Again, the word GIGANTIC is not just for programmers.

You are trolling or acting like a complete idiot. In what world does changing a "few" lines of code for 1 thing, breaks something completely on opposite side? If they were reworking drones and somehow managed to disable skill bonuses, i would say ok, crap happens. But replacing turret icons visual appearance does not mean they change the stats for turrets. Or somehow in Noctis prefs they enable tractor range bonuses for salvagers? I would really like to see how a "few" lines of code write themselves by error.
