Edited by: Digital Messiah on 28/06/2011 18:00:36 All this complaining, raging, hate, protest, and assumptions, need to come to an end. It has been so long since I saw a thread about super caps being op or a complaint about hybrid turrets. I almost forgot they were an issue. Everyone on the forums seems to be with this mob of torch wielding dodo birds. And even though I know it is human nature to join a movement. Ex. "religion, sports, politics, and groups of idiotic importance." Shouldn't we be taking the steps as the community that I have always viewed us as being? The spread sheet makers, battle tacticians, logical thinking, and innovative, player base.
It would seem that the main and only issue being argued at this point and time is about P2W, MT, AUR, and NEX. "Pay to Win, Micro-transactions, Aurum, Noble Exchange." Some of you dislike the idea of having a MT system in game, just because. Others of you assume that it will inevitably end with P2W. Most of you however are simply giving limited reason outside of speculations to why you are so upset. Have the monocles effected your game play so much that there is anything, anything at all! That you could do before Incarna, that you cannot do now? With the exception of sitting afk in a station and spinning a ship around pointlessly...
I am not saying it isn't a good thing so many of you are saying no to P2W. I would cancel my subscription the instant it was introduced as well. But it hasn't been yet, and I'm not going to cancel my sub until it is. Currently all I see is a bunch of people thinking their virtual world is coming to an end. Before any absolute signs of an apocalypse has happened. What is worse is that you are all following this idea through blind assumption or illogical rage. Because of this I honestly don't know how valued your opinions have become or will be now. You are burning bridges, which is giving CCP no way to find a common ground.
In my opinion, as a community our point has been made. No to P2W! All I am asking now is that you will calm down, take a deep breath, think about your actions thus far, and reconsider the appropriate means to an end. Cancelling your account will only stunt your SP growth, Yelling on the forums at people not involved will only make your words less valid, and continuing assaults on jita or adjacent systems only hurts your fellow player. This whole event is nothing more than a trolls paradise. Stop and think about who you are really feeding, next time you post.
TL;DR You should just read it if you want to give any constructive feedback.
Thank you for your time.

Edited by: Ana Vyr on 28/06/2011 18:51:10 So Joe Longetermplayer creates a business empire in the game. He carefully uses spreadsheets to research the best items to build for the maximum profits for his plans. He establishes mining contracts to aquire minerals, researches blueprints to maximize efficiency, and finally he builds his dream ship after two years of gameplay and planning.
Steve McCash buys the same thing for 50 bucks off the MT store after a couple weeks of playing. The ship in question appears out of thin air requiring no investment by any player to create.

I am sorry but I find this paticular sentence majorly offensive. Also keep in mind that if there will be a time/space collapse due to unresolved paradoxes, this one will be on you.

problem is Digital,
that the whole supercaps and hybrids and such problems are small leaks in the glass pool important to fix but not deadly, for a great many of us this expansion is someone swinging a hammer at the side of the thing, it could very well break the whole show and its a stunning demonstration of contempt / misdirection / misadventure now if we give up on this and let it drop to go back to the minor fixes that DO need to be done i do agree the risk is while we are patching the leaks the glass is shattered and the deluge begins, the issue is as the hilmar email suggests, if you quiet down quickly then they can ignore and sweep under the rug,
The issue is to not let CCP squirm or wriggle out of this one and FORCE them to accept that this was all a mistake and that ignoring their player base was a terrible idea and they need to listen to us. if CCP do this coming back from the brink with an appology and a new methodology involved in listening to the players and working with the community it will help the smaller issues like you pointed out because our words will have more weight,
also in an interview CCP Soundwave said that he knew all about SC's and this winter he is doing something about it,
but yeah i think the main reason this campaign of complaint and resistance can and indeed must continue is to establish firmly and forever that we will not blindly accept or easily give up on a righteous cause,
hope that explains my point of view Me? im just sitting here,

This is not entirely true. Some of them were banned for admittedly excessive, but essentially harmless expressions of frustration.

Your name is Digital Messiah, and you come in here telling us to shut up about the changes we hate in a game we love. And then you wonder why people say you are from CCP?
Either you are truly an idiot or just a CCP employee, although I don't really think there is a difference right now.

Oh look another one who doesn't understand how the hell the subscription cancellation works. Hint my Sub renewed a few days prior to Incarna's launch, My subscriptions are 3 month blocks, CCP does not give refunds, there for I can continue to play post and train until my paid time expires. And fully plan on doing exactly that.
If you really oppose P2W now is the time to make your stand, if you wait until they actually offer an Item or Service of power then it will be too late. Now is the time to cancel your sub to send them the message that we are serious.
CCP doesn't think we mean it they've dared us and said we think you will fold. So make em sweat it. The more accounts are in suspension by the time they meet the CSM the more risk they'll be facing to stay their current course.
And don't fool yourself they fully intend at this point to release play to win they're just trying to figure out how to message it properly how to package it in a way to minimize the number of people who are ****ed off.
Don't believe me go hunt down the link of the interview their COO gave to a Icelandic business mag.
They aren't bringing the CSM to discuss where to go they're bringing them in to figure out how to sell us a product we don't want.
Until this MT thing is resolved nothing else in the game matters.

And then Ana Vyr who's been playing for six days comes swooping in with the 65M SP character (bought with GTC) and flying some uber T3 ship (same) and pwns them all.
Yeah...

I understand the constant revolt going on. What I don't understand is the way people go about showing their detest about current circumstances. Dislike an idea? State your opinion. But don't get on here like people have already started to do, trolling and flaming. All in all They will more likely listen to the calm collected players. And make changes ignoring the blind hate. Because hating does not equal a reasonable opinion.
There are no non-vanity items in the game at this time! You have made your point about not wanting P2W. And if CCP is going to do it, they will even knowing how you feel about it. So quit now, or quit later. Most the people I see posting atm aren't patient enough to see an outcome. Can't see you being around for years to come. o/

If you would be able to read, this is not what CCP intends and certainly not something that is going to happen.
Quit your conspiracy-theories or quit EVE, either is fine with me.

The door is temporary until CQ are finished. At which time you will be forced to use the content they have been working on. To all those complaining about how hard it is on some setups. Consider the fact that it is still being finished. So yes temporary door is temporary.

Consider expecting content with your expansions. Also expect some of that monthly money you're already paying to go towards the game you are paying for rather than funding the production of non-related games.

Quote: In my opinion, as a community our point has been made. No to P2W! All I am asking now is that you will calm down, take a deep breath, think about your actions thus far, and reconsider the appropriate means to an end.
Allow me to respond with a quote from CCP Hilmar:
"I can tell you that this is one of the moments where we look at what our players do and less of what they say. Innovation takes time to set in and the predictable reaction is always to resist change."
As you can see, we cannot just voice our opinions and step back down again. Hilmar was expecting us to do that, and it is only because of the massive subscription loss that his company is starting to actually react to our complaints.
Quote: Cancelling your account will only stunt your SP growth
So what? CCP now has chains around our necks because we cannot live without their spaceship game? I, along with thousands of people, have decided to show that we can freely take our money elsewhere if our principles are threatened.
