ok i have a problem.
i have 30mil sp. but it doesnt seem to matter what i fly or how i fit it i always die. every time i get in a pvp battle unless my ship is bigger and i just out tank the opponent to the point they give up shooting at me and fly away, i never win. i will either die or as just stated the battle will be a draw. what am i doing wrong?
any suggestions?

Use warp scrambler and stasis webifier modules to stop your opponent from getting away. Also, use battleclinic or one of numerous fitting guides to learn how to fit up an effective PVP ship. -------- Enemy corps raided into disbandment: Three.

Can you give some fits and example fights?
All I can say right now is SP are largely irrelevant and fittings and combat experience are far more important.

yeah i used battleclinic all the time everyone says its an end all be all for awesome ship fittings but even with them i still lost. even with web and jam i lost my tristan to a rifter. granted i got him down to about 15% hull but he wast shooting for over half the battle.

It doesn't matter what fit you are using if you don't actually know how to fly it. When in doubt, get into a Drake and go from there.

looking your losses and wins in battleclinic i see:
* thorax with anode blasters ( NO t2 ) as an example .. i dont like your whole fitting at all.
* Vexor ( much better ship) with 800mm plate ( NO 160mm??? ) and 200mm rail . MAN GO ALL PLATE and 5x small net on high slots...
* incursus with 125mm rail ( no blaster???? )
* tristan always with rails
and seems that you use ONLY gallente ships. Gallente have some good ships ( if fitted well) but imho:
frigates and tristans need to be fitted with blasters, not rails.
Thorax: Have good dps but is a glas cannon ship. dont use it solo, you will die to much with it. Use it in gang hoping you will not be primaried so you can dish a lot of damage before you get some attention to you.
Vexor: this is an excellent ship, but you need very high drone skillsto make them shine. DO not rep, just put 1600mm plate, 2x eanm2, dc2 and 3x trimarks. standard meds, and 5x small neuts on high slots. oulast your enemy with incredible armor and using drones, while put them withour cap left. works great. Someone use is also nano fitted, but is not the way i like it ( personal taste).

im only using gallente ships cuz im gallente and i have only trained gallente ships and some minni for the faction cruiser. other than that it has been some minor rail gun training and all hybrid i use both t2 hybrid guns up to medium and i am close to t2 large. i have armor tanking elite cert and have trained highly in drone skills as well. not much in the head as far as energy neuts but that fit you suggested for the vexor sounds really good and i am gunna have to try it out thanks

I leave for awhile and I keep hearing this, my ears bled the first time I heard this. A caldari PVE ship known for PVP thats not morally right
But to be honest, experience is key to winning in PVP, go setup several cheap disposable ships and go jump EVERYONE. If your in a frig go ahead jump a freaking battleship just to fun. You need the experience. Key word disposable, I used rifters back in the day and if I could catch it I web/scrammed it and tried to take it weither it was a noob ship or full fledge battleship. Lasted longer against a few of those BSs than you imagine too. Even had a BS call in backup because he couldn't kill me, I was starting to run out of ammo too if I remember correctly. He had to drag his friends out of other games to come get me.
