These stupid comments baffle me.
Yes, i agree, it is everso mildly annoying, but i can imagine the tirade of abuse and "thats it i quit" statements these boards would be flooded with if they brought the servers up and then 20 minutes later the server crashes because the player base refuse to give them the time to get things sorted and right.
Give them a break.
I'm quite happy to wait an extra 30 minutes, an hour, even two, simply to have the re-assurance that the delayed up-time meant they probably found an issue and fixed it before putting the servers up.

There is a point to this, we are paying for this service and if the service is not available. for a non specified time period, then we are losing out on the money we spend!
I'm not saying there won't be problems, as there appears to be fewer problems than other games, but if people aren't going to get the service that they pay for then, they will take their money elsewhere. Do Not Disturb!, I'm Disturbed enough as it is! |

ok on the other side ofthe fence here. if they would acually bring up the servers once they are done every day....what about those days that they bring it up early...are you going to be willing to be billed extra for that time?
if you want to be tight about it, id love to see if they would bill you if the server was up for longer than 23hrs a day.
if the server is down for 30 min longer...thats what? .8c? get a life people. over 1 year's time if they take an average of 30 min a day...you have only been shorted out $3.25. now i know that is the price of some friggin value meals at mcdonalds...
if you play an online game you pay for, expect downtime. things happen. would you sue your isp if your internet goes down and you cant get to play this game you CANT miss out a second of?
grow up, get a life and realize there are more things out there than a video game.

Well, may I suggest spending that downtime doing something else like take a walk, talk to some friends, see a movie, get some sleep or something else more healthy than obsessing about a game?
Hell, they're helping you by keeping the game down :)
Not that it matters to me, I have a day job so I am mostly at work during the down-time.

Too many threads on this topic, downtime will take as long as it takes as late is better than buggy..

I know that she is a member of the Polaris Corporation that operates inside Jove space, and JovianĘs are particularly hideous, but she is different.
