I've always loved the music in EVE- especially on the login screens, but the ingame stuff, too. I only turn it down if I'm on voice comms.

i did when i first started, but it gets really annoying after a few years. That said, am unsure if they have added a new stuff since i last tried it. I would prefer some more up beat music, it always used to send me to sleep.

EVE Radio IS the soundtrack of Eve.
But I do love track 8...below the asteroids.

I most certainly do listen to the music. It has a unique ability to capture space in sound. ______________________________

Certainly do. It makes me nostalgia hard, E, when I was a young pod pilot. Signature removed for not being EVE related. Zymurgist |

I listen to it all the time (I also have all of Alienhand's remixes of the Eve tunes in my juekbox, which are rather nice). ~Gnosis~ |

I think i turned the jukebox off the 1st day (some tunes are just EXTREMELY HORRIBLE in my taste) and never switched it on again. I don't any idea anymore what music was in it anymore.

I do.. my fiance asks me why they put such a gross music, I told her 'It adds to immersion of the dark and unforgiving mood of this virtual world'. I also told her I get more excited fighting in this game than I do speeding with my bmw, so now she mostly leaves me alone when I'm hanging around in my dark world.

I actually listen to it from time to time. It makes Eve more Eve.
Nouvelle Rouvenor Hero made my mining sessions a happy and versatile experience. Though that doesn't work any more :)

Everyone loves that track. I heard it used in a radio spot a few years ago and almost wet myself.

Used to, but since I plugged in the Battlestar Galactica soundtracks to the jukebox a few years ago I never looked back. If you are a BG fan try their music in EVE, it's absolutely epic. --------------------------------------------- Take a stand or fall for anything |

Man, what a nostalgia kick that song is.
When I listen to the old login screen music, I remember where I was in game and in real life.

I use EVE sound pretty often, it makes it feel more like a game, esp. when I'm grinding standings, or hauling, or mission running... sometimes I do not want to play music and associate that music with monotony, which is why EVE sound is good, because it's just instrumental, and immersion is good, etc.
To be honest, my first real impression of the game was undocking into the vast reaches of space and just floating around at asteroid belts mining, and thinking about how it was neat that rats would spawn now and then and try to relieve me of my ship, and that it felt like real space, to float there in the darkness with all the nuances of the ingame sounds and music, etc.
Like a number of people have said here, I play EVE sound to remember what it was like to be a rookie, when the game seemed vast and limitless, like I really WAS in space and could fly off from gate to gate in any direction for years and never stop seeing something new.

The music is good, but I think it's the wrong atmosphere for EVE overall - a lot of it starts to sound the same..
I wish they'd put in some more diverse types of music.

I turned it on for Incarna to listen to the new login theme but in game it has been off for years.
Below the asteroids is my all time fav.
The Promised Lands is my fav login theme, don't remember which expansion that was.
Red Glowing Dust (Whiteraven Remix) is my fav remix.

Agreed, forgot to add that. Leaving the jukebox running and then checking to see for just how long that current song had been playing for only to realize you've listened to 10 'different' songs.
Majority are just too similar with a few gems thrown in.

I use to have it on all the time but for some reason it broke about 2 (2 1/2) years ago for me (scrolling constantly without playing) and I still not had it fixed.
For now eve radio is my eve jukebox.
