As a trader I haven't paid real money to play this game for years.
I'm currently worth about 50 billion so I can buy game time with isk for the forseeable future.
I wouldn't pay a penny in real money to play this game cos its complete crap
I expect CCP alreaddy know this though.

Besides I am afraid that Dust will fail and drag EVE or maybe even CCP down with it.

come on *******s,, HTFU and show you have a pair,, CCP gave us a hell of a lot more of a response than anyother gaming company would have.
i'm happy with the results of the meetings to a degree ( no MT's for game changing items )
there are some issues still needed to be addressed, lets give the CSM the time needed to address them.
i say well done CSM, and to CCP we are watching you very closely.

Currently we are seeing _very predictable feedback_ on what we are doing. Having the perspective of having done this for a decade, I can tell you that this is one of the moments where we look at what CCP does and less of what they say. Unsubbing takes time to set in and the predictable reaction is always to assure us everything will be fine.

they have not set a time to get an old hanger view back and they did not say no none vanity items ever.

I didn't hear anything that showed any internal change of mindset..
...actually i didn't expect that..
What I hoped for ?
...that I somehow misunderstood their Ideal Vision of the future....
... all i heard were kinda reluctant pledges and comments about how they could have communicated better.
What would make me (just one guy and not an important guy , and don't think im and important guy) happy?
-- actions in the future, not words now ... a real showing of commitment 6 months in, dealing with some pretty attainable things like ship balancing (as they have said they see problems) , faction war-fare , 0.0 sov mechanics experimentation (even if a silver bullet isn't attainable, try a few things).
As for subs, I'll stay subbed with my accounts using the play for free mechanism and a plie of game assets that are only good for the game (after all they are game assets! : ) no problem with that) - I'll probably find things to do that have a slow burn, "turn based" feel to them, logging in once or twice a week and only a few hours a month.
Expectations? I don't expect any huge failure and maybe their whole plan works for them... If guys like The Mittani are satisfied, the losses should be stemmed.
Currently... I paid for three months of Perpetuum.. not sure how i'll like it but they deserve a bit of financial support for trying to take a stab at bringing another one shard sustained virtual universe into being. (ironically thats more than i've paid for EVE for over 18 months..I do see a problem there but not sure of the solution...making me pay extra for certain game content isn't it - maybe requiring one $ purchase every few months? or even asking for it on the honor system ? ? )

-1 and will remain so. Personally (I know alot of people had other requirements, or outcomes they considered unacceptable or acceptable) I would of accepted no less than complete removal of new MTs from EVE. MTs stay, so I do not.
No big deal.
PS: Got about 3 weeks of sub time left to run out though, so i'll swing by occasionally till then and troll the pro-MT'ers or just see what other strategic implosion CCP creates for itself.

The CSM raised concerns with performance running multiple clients after the Incarna launch where the minimum hardware spec will only support one client logged in when in a station environment. CCP will work on creating a minimum hardware spec that supports multiple clients, but wants it to be clear that the current minimum specification aims at single client with low settings.

I've not actually played Eve, other than change a few skills since the crisis started.
I'm kind of at a crossroads between what I had planned for the character (staying) and the whole sorry mess we've just been through (leaving) which has dulled my interest somewhat.
What tips the balance for me is a small part of the content of the blog, the bit about they never had any intention to sell non-vanity items (might not be word perfect as not cross checking with the blog at this point). That to me just does not add up due to the way CCP has conducted themselves over the last 11 days.
So looks like I'll be looking for a new MMO.
So yeah I'll remain unsubscribed as well.

Regardless if someone spent hours grinding for ISK or played less and bought game time it was never really P2W. It was pay for easier time but someone somewhere had to grind the ISK or build/find the stuff in game.Meaning the only thing created out of thin air was a time card in which some one else had to be willing to buy in order for you to sell for ISK.
With MT the stuff will be added to game with out any player involvement other than swiping a credit card. If you can't see the difference in how that affects the "sandbox" you are extremely dense.

I understand we were angry with them, but firing the CEO would hardly do us any good. They've seen their mistakes -hopefully- and are altering their course to adjust to the player input they've received... in theory at least.

You didn't win with better ships or faction gear etc.. often made your alliance or corp look bac with the faction gear given the evolved player metrics of success and kb efficiency too .
But the game wasn't balanced around plex purchases, nor were they promoted, and the number of advantageous items was fairly limmited in effect and only so many "slots" availble.
Plex purchases for use to buy ISK was hardly promoted at all by the developers.. first time I noticed any of that was a month ago and the timing seemed to be following player complaints about high plex prices.. as if it were an attempt to drive the isk/plex ratio down.
Never was there any planned extra interface convenience that was sold for ISK but from the fearless piece the lead developer thinks it would be a great idea to allocated saved fittings based upon isk or $ in something like the range of a months subscription equivilant? Suddenly the priorties for game design and player experience are being warped around how to steer it so extra revenue beyond subscriptions can be realized.
Play to win is a red herring.. thats not the heart of the issue but only a part that shows.. the way it warps game mechanic planning is where the real damage will be.

CCP please don't lose faith in the inspace part of eve. It has huge potential don't squander it spending all your time on a quick buck with incarnatransactions.
Once they really work out a decent mechanic for small gang pvp (like fw almost accomplished) I will resub my 3 accounts. I can't commit my life to eve and right now it takes to long to find decent pvp. Until then I am going to go by what ccp does instead of what they say, and remain unsubbed until the good inspace release actually comes out.

im an 07 player and im still a little disappointed with the direction that eve is taking with incarna. It was originally made to be a spaceship game and now its turning into lets trade drugs in station. Im a big believer in change is good but all the changes that have been made the last few expansions are a little disappointing.
1. Super Caps (why are they so horribly overpowered and why do they have no counter)
2. Sov. (lets make timers on top of timers on top of timers in order to take sov BRILLIANT!!!!!)
3. Lets make negative status space so people can make more money in high sec running lvl 4s
4. Lets make missions easier so people can always have the best agent quality wherever they are.
5. There are a ton of bugs still lets not focus on fixing like balancing moon goo, Ship balances, 0.0 space lets release a patch where people can run in station and coming next patch they can trade drugs!!!! I LIKE DRUGS SO WILL THEY!!!!!
Im not unsubbing yet i still have my 2 accounts i pay with cash i do love this game. I believe in CCP and what they stand for but i am very disappointed at the moment and I have actually for the first time in 4 years started playing a new game like EVE online but with mechs (Name starts with a p and ends in an M and im actually having fun again.)
Regardless of this i believe eve will come around and look forward to the new patches and hope they focus more on the spaceship version once again soon. Till then im not leaving my accounts just taking a break and trying something different if i keep on getting let down time and time again i will leave eve then.

P.s. All opinions stated here are my own, I know some people dont feel the same way and i am not trying to change anyone's mind. But i do know there are alot of people that feel the same way i do an i hope CCP and the DEVS actually read this.
I did not mention the Novelty store because if it stays novelty good job ccp at finding a new way to make money. Thats what companies are supposed to do.

NeX for ships, load station is still temporary, same wording they used when promising no MT's a year ago which allows them to wriggle through their promise when non-vanity MT DOES get introduced. It might not even be golden ammo at first, it'll be features that we should've gotten for free.

I dunno. From the summit we got a whole lot of words and talk about how it was all just a big misunderstanding. Of course, realistically, it was probably the best we could have hoped for, but it takes more than promises of goodwill to wash that bad a taste out of my mouth. "No plans for non-vanity" is just as noncommittal as it's always been, but again, what could really be expected? If they'd said "no we will never do it ever", would anybody really believe them?
So, will I keep giving CCP money? .. Probably. I guess my distant hope is that maybe this whole debacle has smacked them hard enough that they'll learn something from it.

Like I said before, all of this was the straw that broke the camels back. Simply removing that last straw and expecting the camels back to instantly be fixed and the camel to spring right back up with that weight on it is not going to happen.
Me along with others need time away from this game to heal our broken back and will not be returning if there is the same massive pile of problems that have just been ignored. Once serious progress has been made and CCP commits serious resources to spaceships again, then I will be back.
CCP changing the flavor of the Kool-Aid is not enough to get me to go diving back into the punch bowl.

I will resub. I am still very worried about the big picture, the lack of content in the latest patches and my feeling that Eve is not getting the development resources it needs.
But CCP did come with the answer I was looking for - NEX for vanity only, for now. The grey areas mentioned may get ugly in the future - hell, anything can happen in the future. I think it is only fair to give CCP a chance to prove themselves with "action" now that the words have been spoken.

I am satisfied with the statements put out so far... I think they will be more careful and communicative going forward. I don't think they will break their promise of no non-vanity items in the NEX store for at least a couple of years. I will not unsubscribe.
HOWEVER
I already unsubbed one account since Incarna, because I can't run two clients anymore on any of my machines. It's not a matter of spite, but of utility. When I can afford to upgrade, or they manage to streamline the program enough to support multiple clients, I would like to reactivate the account.

Words are just that, words. After learning about CCP's financial situation it's certainly the case that i'd be lucky if $2 out of a monthly $15 actually goes into eve.
After dust flops we'll see what CCP is really going to do with their cow. It seems CCP has gambled the farm and as best as i can tell their CEO is a fuggin idiot and bet poorly. Illusions of grandeur? Normal every day CEO tanking a boat because most any of them can do is ride on the success of others and golf? Both? We will see.
My guess is we are still looking at a very likely turnout of them unhooking our cow from the milker and just slaughtering it.

What have you done to thousands of accounts that simply lost interest to log back on again more even to post about why they don't log in or re activate their accounts.

I'll be honest and say that my alt account will remain unsubbed (ended last week this time). My main I will keep going on a month-by-month basis, as opposed to my old 3-month cycle. Mainly because occasionally I may want to try find someone to shoot once in a while.
Will try keep my main going till the next expansion, at which point, CCP's "18 Months" will likely take its toll and I'll have moved on again (no you can't have my stuff, I could always come back after 2 years again) to another MMO.
To describe my feelings towards CCP - a company that I have long been an unpaid sales rep to friends around the world - is like I had been dating this girl for a year or two, only to come home early oneday with flowers and find her in bed with the neighbour... I just don't feel I can trust CCP anymore...and that makes me really sad.

Well I came back for the next version, can't remember the name off hand, but I have a new attitude to EvE. I can play my other games I have on my computer when I need a break or join an RL organization and play realworld.game

I would be very unhappy if I resubbed now and then next month they, for whatever reason, said "lol deal with it poorfogs" and added a ton of p2w stuff to the game.

pay by plex, wont spend RL cash on a game ( although regardless of what anyone says, Incarna did melt my cpu and motherboard while running two clients so I have spent RL cash on it. CQ is off and will stay off now )
The MT issue is now sorted for me, non vanity only, if idiots want to dress up with monocles its there buisness ( great big dress like barbie doll poofters ).

Not paying above and beyond subscription for 'extra' content just because they think they can milk the playerbase. It's a slap in the face really....like saying hey, you paid for this ice cream bar last week, but this week, it has a new silver colored wrapper...but it'll cost you $5 more.'
Also, trust lost. They don't keep their word.
In addition, real game development has slowed to a snails pace past couple of years.
Finally, bugs. They exist in every game, but here they flourish for years. Playing a real mt game right now, WOT. It's not the same as eve was but it's enough to kill extra time with, and hey, the transactions really are 'micro'.

I actually had not un subbed my accounts through this whole unwinding story however. I would like to add -3 accounts to this as I have decided to unsub in the last few hours.
I would like to point out its not 100% to do with recent events it has some bareings but not totally.
I have my own issues with eve online and the direction it has been taken for quiet some time now, and with steam mega sale ongoing and new MMO in development I think its time I moved on and tried something new. In fact I dont think there is much CCP can do now to keep my custom, despite all the spin doctor news reports and CSM meetings. My views on the CSM are something differant and not suitible for this thread.
Its been fun for over 7 years but its the end for me.

I never unsubbed and was thinking of starting up a second account now. I have none of the issues with CQ.. its slow but not impossible to move. I don't spend much time in my hanger but its cool enough for me to look around once in a while. I do miss my spinning ship but it isn't a deal breaker. They said MT's for vanity items right now... thats cool for me. I don't understand what everyone is up in a huff for. I also don't have issues with heat or overheating but I have never overheated an apple computer before.... the mac client never runs that rough for me.. even though I know it runs better in windows.
