i don't understand why they couldn't seeded clothes on the market as an ordinary NPC ISK-sell order and dispensed with the needlessly complicated new currency entirely. Or tried to find a way to allow them to be player manufactured. also don't get why they aren't pod-destroyable, like implants.
seems to me they could have been a nice isk sink, if implemented that way, and made for a better game...especially for gankers, it could list clothing destroyed, kind of like how they show destroyed implants on the km.
oh well, turned off CQ anyway, makes computer 2 slow and i dont need lots of jazz in the background distracting me when trying to fit.
will unsub 1 char to register my mild displeasure at lousy implementation.

They want to force you to destroy plex in order to buy the clothes. In this way, the plex will be removed from the game for vanity items instead of being used for game time, causing CCP to make more $.

^ This.
The NeX is intended as a PLEX sink, not simply a way for players to decorate their avatars.

Correct, even though eve dictates you should lose whatever is equipped on the clone that is destroyed like implants, clone get popped, you lose your snake set which is far more expensive.
Monocles and fancy clothes are according to eve game play, BROKEN.
See how the eve world changes when real money transactions get involved, it goes carebear.

Actually from a purely RP perspective it makes sense. I know that if I was about to plug myself into a pod filled with goo I'd take my clothes off first.
But yes this is about CCP increasing revenue which NPC sell orders won't do. I've not seen anything on the NeX that I'd be willing to part with a PLEX for yet though you can get a sneak peak at what might be coming by turning off "Show only available" on the market.

or that could be why NeX stuff is so expensive is not because of the price of the one object but the price of replacing that one object every time you die for the rest of your un-natural life.

1. High quality vanity items are costly to develop. 2. For vanity items to be effective you need a wide variety of them. 3. The industrial market in eve is not big enough to support a wide variety of limit run items 3. They are not destroyable because the offer no benefits but still have costs. If they were destroyable then no one would wear them.
