Edited by: Asm Khurelem on 05/07/2011 14:13:40 I can't get stuff to train - that which is on top of the skill queue does not train. (Yes, I clicked apply). :(
Edit: Apparently, relogging fixes it.

This sometimes happens. When this does happen it is usually caused by a cache issue. Relogging almost always helps. When it doesn't help, try clearing your cache: Press ESC when logged in. Select the "Reset settings" tab, under "Reset to default" press the "Clear" button behind "Clear all cache files" (This will NOT remove your preferences and saved settings).
If that still doesn't work, remove ALL your skills from the queue, stop skill training completely, and relog.
IMPORTANT: Game masters cannot answer specific questions or petitions in the forums; those will have to go through the petition system. Thus I cannot comment on specific cases. I am mostly posting this particular solution here because this might help others who encounter the same issue. Since this is about skill training we realize that these issues are rather time sensitive (lets face it, missing a few days of training because of something like this is frustrating) and thus I hope this can help people solve the issue without having to wait on a reply from us.

This thread will vanish from page 1 well before this day is over. No one will read your post besides the OP and a couple others.
While this is a remarkable show of enthusiasm this is also quite futile.

Quite aware of this, but even if this helps one or two people it will have been worth the time spent to write the message.

Ok, so you felt it necessary to flame a GM for trying to be helpful and informative. Way to go, now GTFO.

This !!! Exactly right - CCP are damned if they do and damned if they don't on these forums. I really am beginning to feel sorry for them.

Wow, that's flaming already. Little sensitive today, eh?
People always try to do be helpful, informative, thoughtful, clever, ... You should have the decency to let them know when they don't succeed in their attempts.
Or maybe you are one of those that like to watch people waste their time. Who knows...

If it helps just one person then it was worthwhile writing/doing it.

First time it's ever happened to me, cannot think otherwise that this is a result of the recent Incarna debacle.
Just another reason to take a long break from Eve and try some other game. What a massive disappointment Eve has become.

First, this is a bump.
Second, I never thought I'd meet the real Debbie Downer, but here you are, plain as day.
Your new titles, kind sir: Stater Of The Obvious Insulter Of Good Will Towards Others
Do you also tell people to their face how trivial and meaningless their gifts are after you unwrap them, if you know you will never make use of said gifts, or do you quietly take the gift receipt and get store credit to buy yourself something else without trampling on their feelings like a spoiled child?
Decency, some people just really lack it.
As for the GM response, kudos, posting here on the forums, or even doing your job ingame, is likely to be fairly thankless, so thank you for the hard work and good will.

We can still communicate freely most of the time (and our community team actively tries to encourage us; a hi five to them for the effort); a lot of us simply do not have the time or have not yet bought their custom fit Nomex flame resistant suits. But thank you all for the pleasant sentiments. It is always good to hear that people still appreciate us talking about things we do and love.
Also, I know that, like me personally, there are several GMs that keep a half eye on the forums during their shifts. If something comes up that we can answer or clarify then we will usually be able to spare a few minutes to write a reply or answer. That is, if we spot the question/post before it drops off the first (few) page(s). In that sense, if anyone ever has a question about customer support or other game master stuff, feel free to post it in GD and if one of us spots it (not a certainty by far) we usually can answer some of it; as long as the subject is not about a specific petition (we simply cannot allow people to jump the queue by answering on the forums).

Thanks for your kind words. Please don't hold back, get it out of your system. I'm sure you will feel better afterwards.
Of course you immediately understood that I demanded the GMs to remain silent and never ever post on these forums. Questions like these appear often. One might say they are frequently asked questions. Answering them each and every time they appear is obviously the best way to handle this.
I'm sorry I wasn't aware of this standard approach to this problem.
