Im scanning them down with a buzzard, salvaging/looting their stuff. Most of them shoot me but by the time i swap ships and got back they already finished the mission.
If i scan them down in my scan modified Tengu, they don't bite (duh!). How do other people pull this off?
large amounts of trololol expected.

You fail at switching ships... or just fail in general.

First off how long does it take you to swap ships. Should be about 1-2 Min to warp back, wait out the 10-20 sec session timer and grab the ship and 30 seconds to warp back. Use a MWD to go gate to gate and have an overheated Warp Disruptor and Sebo Scan Res to grab them.
Fast simple Nano Cane is good for this. You can use an Orca on the otherside of the Accel gate to swap ships.

that is how little girls fight. trying to bait mission runners in pve fits to fight you. man up and fight people who are actually prepared for pvp.

When I'm doing a mission, I just ignore salvegers (not going to risk all a good ship for a couple of wrecks). But I have noticed if a salvager knows I'm not going to bite they warp out, then a few seconds later a ship uncloaks and warps away with his alt/friend.

Nah I wanna do this alone. But by the time i scan the ship down the dude is already halfway in the mission. It indeed takes me just 2-3 mins max to swap ships and to warp to the nearest bookmarked wreck but they already warped out cuz they thought something was fishy or they just finished (and i can't do anything against their noctis alts).
Whereas i could try fit a drake with an expanded probe launcer (~580 dps ish no overheat or boosters) because it's more likely they will attack that, rather than a tengu, but still, i noticed lots of missioneers are most likely to shoot a buzzard than a Drake... even if that drake got salvager+probes lol.

Most mission runners have learned that they should dock up for awhile after shooting at a Ninja. Or just turn all the wrecks blue and invite them to fleet.

Just have a few friends with BSes one volley faction fit Golems on undocking or in a mission and loot the wrecks. Screw Hulkageddon, do a Golemageddon. --------

Actually, it's far more fun to finish his mission for him and steal the bounties. It's even better if the player is one who likes to blow up the wrecks to keep you from salvaging. When he kills your npc wreck, concord comes, and the tears flow!

Missioners tend to be risk averse anyway, especially when they are in ships worth billions. Risking it all just to pop a ninja looter won't make any sense.

Most missioners know what you are up to and aren't going to fall for it. They'll shoot your first ship but expect you to run back and grab a different ship, so they are prepared for it and will leave when you leave.
The best way is to have a ship he'll bite on, lock him down and have a friend come help or whatever.
If you really must do it solo, get in a frigate that has some dps, warp in on a mission runner that has quite a bit of rat agro on him, get in under his guns, blow up the drones he sends after you, then kill him with the help of the rats.
Intel is the most important thing as always, x-large shield booster, cap boosted ravens go down pretty easy once they run out of boosters, which won't take long.
All in all though, a lot of people in mission ships worth ganking are probably gonna know what your up to and not fall for it, you'll get one every once in awhile though.

Stop being a scared little girl and hunt in lowsec. Shoot first and accept the consequences.
If you insist on baiting missioners, you already fail so failing to make the kill just means your failure is complete.

You have found some very stupid mission runners or mission runners who are new at it. I say this because you can tell the difference between your wreck and someone else's because theirs is yellow, not white like yours. If someone shoots it, they are either naive to the consequences, or just plain stupid.

Yeah, I've found the cure for them is releasing all wrecks and saying "cheers mate, have at it". Most of the time they just ****offski, as they're looking for a fight, as it's really not worth it to scan down someone else's mission site in a salvage ship just to ninja-salvage.
Besides, marauders kind of took care of that problem. When running mission, by the time I've killed the last baddie, there's only one wreck left: the baddie I just killed. If a ninja-looter/salvager comes in, I just warp off so he gets the aggro.

Yeah, I'd say you kinda fail there. First of all, it usually pays to have a buddy. Buddy goes in, starts salvaging and looting. Wait for missioner to shoot. Buddy leaves, you come in, you pewpew. You don't bait someone into a fight with a ship that is obviously going to **** them.

If the buddy steals from him and the mission runner shoots him, you can not attack him.
Aggro Mechanics means stealing Aggro's there Corp to you, firing on the Theif only agresses the theif to the guy who fired on him.

Shows how long it's been since I've run a mission :)

An Orca, of course.
Instant switch of ships at your alt that is conveniently parked near by in an Orca.
Hey try this too; a trick I spotted in Arnon: Be in a weak ship and get somebody to agress on you. Then use the Orca to instantly switch ship to something that will BBQ his ass. Works best near stations (as people will expect you have to dock up and bother will session timers to switch ship) with traffic (to mask the presence of the Orca). Have fun.

use a cheap pvp ship and leave it empty at a safespot
