Maybe tengu prices will rebound shortly too.

If they are above 5mil do NOT go and buy nanoribbons....
As a T3 Producer I can honestly say that I only expect to pay between 5mil and 5.5mil for nanoribbons. Anything over 5.5 is a little steep, anything under 5 is a deal worth buying no matter what. ---
Thinking outside the box is good, but when the Box has everything you need, no need to create something new... |

Edited by: Smarcus Smokus on 06/07/2011 15:56:07 They floated around 6-6.5m pu for a while back. I can't say that I've seen 5m pu since before the great tengu rush (learning skill sp refund).
The latest dip got close, very close.
Really, their price is upto CCP loot tables, which they seem to like to change for sleepers on each patch.

If nanoribbon prices go up, I will just go grind more sites, hence forcing them back down. I'm sure that this will perform some sort of market PVP on nanobulls or nanobears.

Take your the guy who went round hubs putting up buy orders way over the market?? Melted price was dropping nicely then suddenly someone puts buys up 2-300k higher than the highest buy order. Honestly... its sad how people think these things will push ppl to buy. And tengu price rises? doubt it as people have stocks of nanos to build plenty more while nano price comes back down again.

That's it, if producers aren't willing to shut up and give me more money for nanoribbons, I'm going to be forced to start market pvping on all my sleeper loot.

Market PvP, does not exist first of all, Price manipulation of ribbons will chase away the manufacturers into more profitable ventures, or even give then that opening they where hoping for the whole week, to take a break for a drop.
the only thing you can do to raise Tengu prices temporally, is to hunt Tengu's and force the demand to go up for the product, as raw resources prices will only chase mr Tengu maker away, maybe even PvP a little and lose a few Tengu's yourself (my personal recommendation).
Once again, if a merchant makes 15 million now, and after the price hike can make 5 million on the same venture, that merchant, WILL go and do something that makes him 5.1 million or more in that same time frame.
Now, since im not in the Tengu market but, I do lots of wholesale movement, and if one of my staple suppliers decided to go and take away his services, I would begin to consider the option to sell off half of my stock and move onto a brand new direction. The result of moving a Tengu chain person into brand new direction will in fact, leave you screwed, because if I liquidated half my stock, guess what would happen to nanoribon prices? you guessed it, supply would become greater then demand and the prices would take a dive for 1 month... and then recover for another month, that's 2 months of losses for you.
What I suggest: go to want to sell forums, and auction your HUGE lot off to the highest bidder with a reserve price Just slightly higher then what you usually get, 1-2% maybe 2.5%
Thank you for reading and I hope for swift Grammer police action and your consideration of the reasoning in my very long, boring and repetitive wording on the subject.

Wait wait wait, manufacturers think about opportunity cost?

Maybe some do, but not all do (and if you're a heavy manufacturer, you've seen the "nanoribbons I salvage myself are free" crowd).

Auction to the highest bidder works best (for the seller) with large lots, there's no other way to milk the clock.

How large is large with nanoribbons? I don't build T3s, but I can't imagine my week's worth is that big a deal when I turn around to sell.
(Genuinely curious, by the way.)

wrong, auction to the second highest bidder works just as well.

One of the big alliances has been buying heavily everything T3, they probably know something the rest of us don't.

If memory serves, it takes 20 for a hull, and another 4 per subsystem, so 40 per ship.
