I remember reading a dev blog some time ago where it was insinuated, if not outright explicitly stated, that there was as yet "undiscovered" content that was awaiting "discovery" by some lucky(?) pod pilot.
I clearly remember specifically reading that the discovering pod pilot may not even realize/recognize the significance of what was seen/discovered.
Is this still the case? Is this, in fact, an evolving game with new, unannounced content on standby simply awaiting proper discovery for initiation into general gameplay?
I would really love to believe that.

I was unaware they put things in updates without telling anyone.
This is like EverQuest where years ago it was said that there were still undiscovered quests. I liked the way they implemented the quest system that you had to find out things, unlike current MMOGs where you just spam click dialogues to get the quest given to you.

Supposedly this is the case. Rumors abound that much of said "hidden" content resides in wormhole space and that while some have found it, none have pieced it together.
If I remember correctly... there was a thread awhile back in the Fiction subforum where people were speculating on whether the Sleepers and Jovians had some sort of intertwined history... all largely based on a few Sleeper "bio labs" that gave up little snippets of readable data when hacked into. Dunno what happened to that thread. _______________________

nerfed scanning mechanics were hidden from patch notes and there are hidden holes/glitches in CQ floor if you look long enough

It all revolves around the Jovians, Sleepers, rogue drones and something called the Terrans. Stars have something to do with it, too.
Lazy wormhole dwellers.... SOLVE THE MYSTERY SO WE GET SHINIES.

Yes, that's the gist of what I recall as well. Glad to see it wasn't just a bad night boozing.
Now, if we could get a confirmation from a Dev.......just might make me dust off the scanner pro and head off into wormhole sunset...........

(its easilly done in a shuttle, so dont get scared that its in 'norty space')

I think we need to look at all the Sleeper structures from above. There's one, for example, that looks a lot like a rising (or setting) sun, something like you'd see depicted on Mayan ruins.

The threads are still on page 1: here and here.
From what CCP Dropbear has implied, players have found the elements "p", "l", "o" and "t", but haven't worked out how to arrange them into the word "plot". ______ Tippia's analysis of NEX/Incarna |
