Hey everyone,
I am a bit surprised right now. When I read the Wiki, it clearly states that "A corporation can only have a maximum of 3 wars. An Alliance has no such limit.".
Also it is not stated that mutual wars do not count against the wardec limit. Neither in the war dec Wiki page, nor the corp wars Wiki page. And yet, here I am, with 4 war decs at the "can fight" status. We have one mutual war dec with a fried corp that we use to test fittings and strategies with in hisec, not actually destroying stuff. We have one war against another corp, that we just started. They seem to have buddy corps of their own as we were dec'd by two other corps immediately after. So we just happened to have 4 active war decs, which I always thought to be impossible.
So please tell me if there is something wrong. Either the system in Eve is broken or the Wiki tells a) lies and b) not the whole story.
Thanks. |

What I THINK the limit refers to is that you can declare war a maximum of three times on other entities. There is no such limit of how many people can declare war on you, iirc. --

OK, that makes sense. Thanks.
So in the end, the Wiki is wrong. Well, no surprise I guess. |

This.
An example to expand on yours would be if you try to declare war another two times, you should only be able to do so once if you do not join an alliance or if mutual wars don't count to the limit.
There is no limit to how many people can declare a war on you, and so that is mostly irrelevant. --

I've updated the wording on the War Declaration page.
The wording on the Corporation Wars page is already clear about the limit on wars declared by your corp versus wars declared upon your corp:
Originally by: Corporation Wars While you can only have three active wars declared against other corporations, there is no limit on the number of wars that may be declared upon you.

You can only war dec 3 times. you can be war dec'd infinitely. A GM confirmed this to me via petition.
I thought it would be a good idea to raise 3 toons from scratch, war dec myself with them for a year, then sell them. I petitioned first, and am glad I did.
Nothing like wasting 36 plex's. |
