depends on the occasion. The cake typically comes with cream, some sort of jam, rasberry or strawberry i popular here in sweden. Garnished with candles and fresh fruit(preferably similiar kinds as the chosen jam). But theres tons of alternatives.
For death it's much simpler, most people just go for a stylish black suit and tie. Avoid rushing your fitting, try to fit in. |

Can you start by looking for fittings (they are easy to find), and telling us, like the above poster mentioned, which fits you'll be needing? Why should other people do the work for you? |

It depends on how you use them exactly, and sieging isnt exactly low risk, but if you dont have a good reason to go for revelation (like a bunch of friendly archons) imo the phoenix is better for small scale stuff.
It has a (tad) higher DPS. While in principal their EHP is quite similar, the phoenix can overload alot more for higher EHP. It has a far stronger local tank (which for small scale low sec pos bashing, or even more WH pos bashing is still relevant), while with a usual setup its cap stable tank is quite equal to that of a rev, it has much higher max tank, and it can actually use that for quite a while because its weapons dont use cap, so it will be at 90%+ cap usually. Which immediatly is the final advantage for a phoenix, its weapons are capless, this means as soon as you drop out of siege you can immediatly jump out, while a rev first has to recharge its cap. |

Revelation>Moros>Nag>Drake>phoenix
As for a fitting well this is a pretty common variation:
[Revelation, Standard Longrange] Capital Armor Repairer I Damage Control II Imperial Navy Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane Imperial Navy Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane Capacitor Power Relay II Capacitor Power Relay II Heat Sink II Heat Sink II
Sensor Booster II, Targeting Range Tracking Computer II, Optimal Range Cap Recharger II Cap Recharger II
Dual Giga Beam Laser I Dual Giga Beam Laser I Dual Giga Beam Laser I Siege Module I
Large Energy Locus Coordinator II Large Trimark Armor Pump I Large Trimark Armor Pump I
Curator II x5
Moros is pretty much the same except you don't need any cap mods in the lows or any tracking computers to hit 250km range. However sniper dreads are getting kinda obsolete as they have ****ty dps in this day and age with supers everywhere.

Edited by: Furb Killer on 09/07/2011 07:31:03 Yeah so you made a nice ranking in sniper dreads, and you post a fitting for a sniper dread, and you made the correct assesment that sniper dreads are useless. So the rest of your post could be ignored?
As pure sniper dread the phoenix is indeed pretty useless, but who cares since they arent used anymore anyway. The only time you want to have long range is when you are in a huge (super) cap blob, since they tend to spread out quite a bit. But considering that you will then usually be shooting hostile supers the flight time of your missiles become pretty dont care anyway.

High(est) DPS, which means especially if you use it for small gang stuff you are gone quicker, meaning you might actually be gone before the supercaps drop on you. |

My thoughts exactly.
Current ranking still favors the rev if only for how convenient lasers are for prolonged shooting. The nag and moros are about on par and I have no experience with the phoenix at all so I can't comment on that one.
For armor fits you'll usually want short range guns and the siege module, capacitor and a sensor booster in the mids, a four slot tank and three damage mods in the lows. The rev can add a CPR in its eighth low slot. For shield fits you'll want short range guns and siege mod again, four slot tank, sensor booster and cap rechargers in the left over slots. Lows are all damage mods and a damage control, with a three gyros and two TEs split for the nag. Rigs for tank on all of them.
The basics are to have as much damage as possible while having enough local tank and capacitor to at least last until your siege timer ends if the POS is armed and gunned, with the rev and moros holding fire to conserve capacitor during this time. You also need to be able to hit for high damage at 30-35km to reach the tower through the POS shields.
For actual cap combat, dreads are indeed rarely used nowadays but if you intend to go at close range these fits should work well enough. |
