Jowen Datloran Caldari Science and Trade Institute	Posted - 2011.07.09 16:30:00 - [1] Ok, I am about to smack my forehead because once again I finished an Epic Mission Arc and once again did I not receive any faction reward to the appropriate faction that I was supporting by the end of the arc. And once again did the GM have no idea what I was petitioning about and ruled against the outcome of the last petition. Could we please have a senior GM or somebody like it come out and spell it out (in big letters if possible) if you do receive a faction reward for completing any of the ending missions for the epic arcs, and if that is case, what faction rewards are you supposed to get? I will refer to the Dominion patch notes which are the only source of an answer but apparently not enough. Originally by: Dominion Patch Notes, Fixes, Agents & Missions All existent Epic Arcs, Blood Stained Stars, Penumbra, Right to Rule, Syndication, and Wilfire, will now provide faction standing bonuses associated with the chosen ending upon completion. I want it in a public post here on the forums so I have somewhere to link the GM next tiem it happens... and of course for everybody else to know too. I bet a lot of people are being cheated out of these rewards.

Might even be a good idea to have the GM's who handle the petitions place a 'Sticky' note with links to the correct information next to their computer screens. Jowen Datloran, sorry for including this in your thread. CCP Dropbear, please also clarify Multi-Part Storyline Mission Expire Timers. Quite a while back ago, patch notes stated that multi part storyline missions had their expire timer set to 30 days instead of the usual 1 week to complete. How many parts (minimum amount) in the storyline mission for it to be included in the 30 day timer group? Is the 30 day completion timer good for all parts of the multi part storyline mission or just the very first part? If that 30 day timer is only good on part 1 of the multi part storyline missions, that leaves no time to complete the rest of the mission series. I myself, as well as others, have had the 10 part 'Strike' mission series (Kidnappers Strike, Guristas Strike, etc) almost completed when after 1 week the series is automatically removed from the journal. The last few missions in the series take a long time to complete with the very last part being the 'Important Storyline Mission'. Thanks, DMC

DeMichael, I realize this isn't going to be all that helpful, but I think you're doing something wrong. As a noob, the first time I hit that series of missions it probably took me three or four days to run all of them, running 2-3 an evening. Now? Probably between 90 minutes and 2 hours in a HAC. No way should it take more than 7 days.

I've completed the SoE level 1 Epic Arc once for Minmatar, once for Amarr, twice for Gallente and have received +8.75% Faction standing each time ever since it was first introduced into the game. I've also had other players post in the 'Faction Standing Repair Plan' that they too got that same amount. Also players have posted in the 'Plan' that they received +12.00% Faction standing for completing the level 4 Empire Epic Arcs. The level 3 Pirate Epic Arcs have been reported as giving at least +30.00% Faction standing. These amounts were posted in Dev Blogs and I think also in the patch notes as well when they were introduced. The level 3 Pirate Epic Arcs was said to give over +31.00% Faction standing with max Social skills trained. The amounts I listed could be due to having max Social skills trained but I doubt it very much since I, as well as others, only had mid to high level Social skills trained (Not maxed). I'm sure CCP must have some records showing the amounts that were given in the past. If I have to search through all Dev Blogs, patch notes and players posted results in this Forum to prove this, I will. If the amount of Faction standing gain you posted is now the current max amount, then any players who complete any of these Epic Arcs from now on are getting ripped off compared to other players who had completed those Epic Arcs in the past. This info is very disturbing to say the least. Not to mention it makes CCP look like liars and is unfair to players who complete these Epic Arcs in the future. DMC

I'm sorry but that seems incorrect. In the past the level 1 and the level 4 Epic Arcs gave a specific set amount of Faction standing gain regardless of the Social skills trained. Especially the level 1 Epic Arc since new players are quickly directed to it right after completing 1 or more of the 5 different Career Agent missions.

I noticed the same thing when putting the numbers together and made a note to check it out. Also, you are correct, they are base standings. Higher levels of the Social skill will raise the standings reward.

I can double check tomorrow, but I'm pretty sure about it. The base standings themselves may have changed in some places, but again I don't think so (with the possible exception of the Caldari arc, which is odd).

I have social 3 so 30 * 1.15 = 34.5. Also, SOE - 7 * 1.25 (for social 5) = 8.75 LVL 4 - 10 * 1.2 (for social 4) = 12 Those values look to be pretty much ok if you take social skills into account.

Posted - 2011.07.13 12:24:00 - [26] Dropbear, could you clarify a bit while you are here At the introduction of the epic arcs there was a possibility to share the faction standing boost with a fleet. About a month after the introduction of the caldari and amarr arcs it stopped working and when the arc was finished for fleet nobody got the standing boost. The boost was only avaliable through a petition. Some time later the issue seemed to be fixed and at least in may 2011 the faction standing boost was applied correctly both for single char and for fleet (in the later case you had to relog to see the correct standing). What is the current situation and was the faction standing boost supposed to be shared with a fleet in the first place?
bushwacka	Posted - 2011.07.13 21:53:00 - [27] at least for me, the current situation is that i did the angel epic arc with 3 toons today, 2 of them shared rewards in fleet with another guy respectively, one didn't and NONE of those 5 in total received any faction standings. relogged, cleared cache, downtime passed, still nothing. the rest of the reward sharing (isk, agent/corp standing sharing is working fine btw)
