Edited by: Shepard Book on 09/07/2011 20:27:17 Hilen Tukoss & crew is going to make waves in wormhole space? Eve news Linkage
I am starting to wonder if this is going to be a mothership. Time will tell. |

I like this way of releasing info if this is going to happen. A blog will follow later I suppose if I am guessing right, but this makes for a good back story. |

Edited by: Otocinclus on 09/07/2011 23:09:37 Sounds like just more storyline fluff. They're not really changing the looks of the charon from what I see, just changing the inside of it into what I guess is a new place for all those scientists to live. |

Would be cool if there was a new "research vessel" ship class, based on a Freighter hull and requiring the appropriate race's Freighter skill to be at level V.
But it's probably just a single ship modified for the story and a "nothing to see here, move along" deal. |

Sounds like the tech 3 frigates. Which CCP said isn't coming at least until next year. |

When introducing new tech and ship types, CCP has to introduce them to all the factions at once.
In the story, you have Caldari scientists defecting to the Minmatar. In RP terms, it's plausible that the tech will be shared with their Amarr and Gallante allies, thus enabling everyone to get the tech at the same time.
Thus, the story could be a portent of new shinies for the internet spaceship portion of the Eve player base.

new tech3 ships are 2014, you already forgot what they told ? link
however, on the same thread, not long ago they told that :
Originally by: "CCP Greyscale" More developments for wormholes? >> More wormhole "stuff" is something we want to do, yes. We've thrown around ideas like adding a second "tranche" of w-space that's more settlement-friendly, and then tweaking the rules in the existing systems to make them more "wild" and less amenable to people settling down in them, so we cater to both playstyles.
link
Originally by: "CCP Soundwave" Exploration content like Wormholes on the other hand, that rely on venturing into the unknown could potentially be expanded.
link
so it may be that ; as sanshas got technology for "stable" wormholes for their incursions, we will get something also, that will allow us to go to new wormholes systems (maybe it's part of their review on nullsec)
can also be about the future angel cartel incursions (they need womrhole techno like sanshas, and minmtar is "their" space so) |

Whats so funny+
Caldari have good standing with Amarr. Minmatar have good standing with Gallente.
I see no problem with his statement.

Thanks for the input Raiden. I did not catch the 2014 on next T3 before. I copy and pasted it for anyone that has not seen it too. I do not go to wormhole space much myself, but that is where some shiny stuff comes from so I like to stay alert on what is up. I would like to see the Angels have next incursion myself. I still hope that story is a prelude to something for wormhole space and Incarna. Cheers

The short answer is yes more tech 3 ships are coming. That idea for tech 3 industrials is pretty cool and needs further investigation. The first ships we will most likely do is something smaller than cruisers just so we can cater to the largest audience. Then follow that up with some big mama jama and maybe subsystem targeting. The bad news is these ships likely won't be here until 2014 at the soonest given all the other cool stuff we have planned. The schedule does depend on feedback though so if there is enough demand we could swap things around.

It's probably setting something up for either the WH story (Sleeper or Sansha), or this comment: Originally by: CCP Soundwave Will there be more specialized ship classes in the near future, for example T2 versions of tier 2 BC and tier 3 BS, maybe T3 frigs?
>> I think EVE is ready for another ship expansion. I canÆt tell you exactly when that will be, but we are definitely in a place where itÆs a relevant suggestion. I think the key for this is doing something entirely new. They have to have some functionality/gameplay apart from scaling tank/damage. Adding a whole new dimension to PVP would be awesome, so they provide a different experience than weÆve seen before.

my goodness you people cant read.
They're gutting the Charon and the scientists that went with that guy + new recruits are turning it into a massive home.
IE shell of a charon - interior of mini houses - complete with gardens, plants and a lake for them to go fishing at the centre.
you people are way too hopefull.
